Positive: We had a great couple of nights at The Old School House. From the home baked treats to welcome us in our comfy and super clean room, to the store for our bikes, not to mention the delicious breakfasts! Kate and Ian have thought of absolutely everything you could need or want whilst away from home. I really liked the guest lounge with real wood burner for you to light, very cosy and welcoming. The location was ideal for us to spend a couple of days exploring the area and delving into the history of the romans at The Roman Army Museum and Vindolanda.

Summary: Yep, I agree, the best B&B I've stayed in by a country mile!

Positive: Everything, even the pickup and shuttle to the Hadrians Wall path we're excellent. The bar is set high. I see all the ratings are 5 of 5,or 10 of 10 but this one exceeds that. Very nice overall.

Positive: The accommodation was fantastic with the added bonus of a drying room and a comfortable lounge. The dining room was also available to use for lunch and/or dinner which was great for takeaway food etc. The breakfast was exceptional...fantastic choice including yoghurt, fruit, homemade muesli, toast(a variety of homemade bread), and a full range of cooked items including veggie options. Kate and Ian were excellent hosts too and I'd definitely recommend

Positive: Best veggie breakfast I have ever had; Open cap mushroom with spinach and goat cheese and home cooked hash browns with perfectly poached eggs. (I didn't have the beans)
