Summary: This place is delightful, relaxing and central for all the lovely places we wished to visit such as Ewleme, Sonning, Goring and Henley. We were very impressed by Alexander's 'welcome pack' detailing places and activities of interest, places to eat and lovely walks. The accommodation was welcoming and of high standard with many extras such as a cream tea, thank you. We would recommend this to all and would certainly visit again.

Summary: Alexander went out of his way to be helpful and informative about the many things to do and see in this interesting part of the country. The Barn itself was well equipped, charming (if a little overstuffed perhaps) and the beds were very comfortable. It's my own fault for not recognising that the adjacent A road would be noisy as the lorries hurtle down it and that the RAF station close by would provide plenty of helicopter action. It's rural but don't expect complete silence.

Summary: I had The Old Barn to myself for a couple of nights and it was heavenly - every comfort in a beautiful location. Don't miss a pot of Alexander's loose leaf "medicinal" tea, or his knowledge of the area and its history. I hope to be back soon for more.

Summary: Our host Alexander could not have been more accommodating, we arrived to a wonderful welcome and all the basics in the fridge including fresh scones and clotted cream. The barn was small and it was a little challenging to accommodate 4 people comfortably but we managed. The barn was beautifully decorated, absolutely charming and we all enjoyed the luxurious bedding and bath robes. What we lacked in space was more than made up by our wonderful host.

Summary: Our host, Alexander, proved to be a wonderful part of our experience. Not only did he create a wonderful retreat in the middle of Chilterns which was decorated beautifully, he gave us two different tours of the surrounding country side with all of it's amazing villages! We enjoyed the spectacular views he shared with our family and his friendship that we invited him to join us for dinner one evening. You won't go wrong if you book this historic place!
