This Edwardian property was built in 1927 and was totally renovated by 2019 to a high standard. Features include: Comfortable beds, lovely south facing garden, quiet location,private off road parking, downstairs cloakroom.
Wallingford is an attractive, Anglo-Saxon riverside town surrounded by an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with parks, shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, all reached in less than a 5 minute walk from the cottage. Also, Waitrose supermarket. There are riverside and countryside walks and in summer there is an outdoor swimming pool beside the River Thames, and Oxford Wet ‘n Wild. Much filmed for television series Midsomer Murders and in books e.g. Three men in a boat.
Wallingford is a great place for a Winter break or a holiday with regular markets and special themed events during the year close by e.g. Heritage Railways (Wallingford & Cholsey: Didcot) , Lambing festival, Music festivals, Agatha Christie Weekend, Woodcote Steam Rally, Bunkfest, Fireworks, Christmas Markets. Attractions within 10 miles to visit include: Donkey Sanctuary, Days Lock, Dorchester with its Abbey & Teas, Manor Houses (Nuffield, Greys, Milton, Stonor) Gardens (Wallingford Castle & Meadows, Harcourt Arboretum, Basildon Park), Museums incl. Aston Martin. Henley with its Riverside and Rowing Boat Museum (12 mls South East) and Oxford (14 mls North) are only about 45 minutes by bus from Wallingford Market Square, and less by car.

Summary: This lovely apartment in Wallingford is stocked with everything you need to walk in the door and start enjoying your vacation. Perry is a terrific host, and very helpful and attentive. Wallingford is a super base to explore Oxford, catch a bus to nearby rail service to London, motor through the Cotswolds and more. The town itself has some great sights, shops, and food offerings all within a few minutes walk. Thanks Perry for setting the stage for a great holiday!

Summary: We had a fantastic stay at the cottage in Wallingford the location was brilliant to see the local sights with easy access to Oxford too. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed, the little gestures such as the welcome basket was lovely all in all it truely felt like a home from home. I would highly recommend.
