The Cottage is located in the picturesque countryside village of Berrick Salome close to the more bustling towns of Wallingford and Watlington and the edge of The Chilterns, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village boasts a pub and is just over a mile to the larger village of Benson which has everyday shopping amenities. There are many choices to eat and drink out in this area and all within a few miles, the nearest being just over 3 miles away. There are some fantastic walks into the countryside straight from the doorstep. Wallingford, home of Agatha Christie,is only 4 miles away and has a selection of shops and supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and cafés. Just over 5 miles away you have the market town of Watlington, steeped in history and sits at the foot of the Chilterns and offers many independent delicatessens and shops. Summary: Very comfortable and with everything one might need. The owners are delightful and couldn't be more helpful with suggestions of things to do and travel logistics which we had left to the last minute.
