Positive: The holiday home was central to the town facilities, shops,Berkeley Castle, Jenner Museum and footpaths. No car was required for local sites. Cattle Park Farm was only a 2 min drive so this makes a good day out with young children. Take a picnic as there are lots of picnic tables around. We spent the whole day here weather was good. Further afield is Slimbridge another good day out. The home is set back from the road and gated so safe if children staying. The owner lives opposite and says to knock if you need anything.

Negative: There were no games or books for young children but I suspect it’s mostly adults that stay. There could have been baking trays or oven proof dishes. I missed the use of a spatula to scrape around the saucepans and jars/tins. However as the owner opposite I could have asked.

Positive: Really comfortable, clean and lovely property. It is quite pricey but there is little on offer in the area so I can understand the cost. I would stay again.

Positive: Fantastic property with two equally sized double bedrooms. Perfectly located less than five mins walk away from the Castle and right in the middle of the village. Plenty of space and all facilities you will need for a weekend break.

Negative: Nothing. If I was being really picky, the bathroom is a bit small when there are four of you staying but as I said, that’s being really picky. It’s a great property.

Summary: Lovely village, lovely cottage.
