Positive: Location, lovely decor, comfy beds

Negative: Design of bathrooms was very basic. Only one overhead shower in the en-suite, none in main bathroom. Not sufficient in a property marketed for 8 people. No shower gel or toiletries provided. While the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, the downstairs was not as well maintained/serviced. There were dozens of dead flies in the living rooms and some thick cobwebs around the furniture. Teabags hadn’t been restocked.

Positive: The location. Quiet and peaceful. Cool in the main house. Well equipped. Good instructions and local information left. Lovely wine, chocolates, biscuits and milk left as a welcome.

Negative: Wasps nesting very near to the house made sitting in the garden with food or drink a bit tricky. The living room next to the kitchen got very hot as no blinds on the windows in the roof.

Positive: Plenty of room for a family get together, we had 6 adults and 2 children for a couple of the days. Good sized bedrooms. Enclosed garden for pets. Right in the centre of the village, 2-3 minute walk from the pub/church/NT property and the Stone Circles. WiFi available. Very high quality white goods in kitchen. Seating for 8 around the table.

Negative: Would have benefited from a downstairs toilet, although 2 were available upstairs.
