Positive: We loved everything about it. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous with everything you need, and cosy and comfortable. The area is beautiful with lots of walks to do and sites to see. The town is only a few minutes by car away with plenty of shops and cafes. Not far from Stonehenge where we had a great day trip. Jessica is a fantastic host and her two dogs are lovely and kept the kids entertained. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed!
Negative: The ye olde staircase is pretty challenging for very young children! And the traditional low ceilings challenging for tall people (had a few head bangs!). All charmingly original though.
Summary: Gorgeous cottage in beautiful location

Positive: We loved our stay in this beautiful, thatched cottage. Its setting is magical, in wonderful countryside and overlooking Lockeridge Dene which is scattered with ancient sarsen stones. The cottage is peaceful and comfortable, retaining its original features. The garden to the side is private and we were able to have a barbecue thanks to fine weather. We also enjoyed the woodburner in the main room the night before. It's possible to walk from the gate outside the cottage and the wider landscape is filled with treasures like Avebury, West Kennet Long-barrow and Stonehenge. The stairs are steep but, with the help of the bannister, negotiable to people without mobility issues (and there is a lovely downstairs bedroom). The host lives in the next door cottage and was friendly and helpful. We definitely hope to return!
Negative: nothing.

Positive: The place was gorgeous and was very cosy. The owner and their dogs were lovely. The place was incredibly clean. The beds were neatly made and were comfy. There is a good amount of space in the house. The paintings and artwork in the house are lovely and unique.
Negative: The stairs are a bit steep and taller than usual steps so takes some time to get used to. It can be a little hard to locate but the owner does their best to ensure you arrive safely at the right place. It's quite a remote spot so being able to drive is recommended. There is a bus stop not far from the cottage but there isn't much in the area so your best bet is to go to bigger towns nearby to buy anything needed
