Positive: It was private, safe, clean and immersed in nature. Freedom for children to explore and discover with lots of fun in the dam and stream. House fully equipped with everything you need to stay, relax, and leave fully restored.

Negative: It was perfect, there is nothing to dislike.

Summary: Perfection, we will be back to stay at this gem.

Positive: The house is situated in a fantastic location with beautiful views and large open space. The rooms are a great size and very comfortable. The kitchen has all necessary utensils and accessories. The indoor fireplace was amazing and warmed up the entire main house. All rooms were fitted with their own aircon/heating unit.

Negative: The lounge area is too small for the number of guests (i.e. only a 3-seater couch) but there are 4 other sitting chairs. We did get slightly lost one evening on our way back to the house - additional signage on the roads would have been helpful.

Summary: Great location and perfect for a summer vacation

Positive: We loved EVERYTHING! The location is spectacular and breathtaking, the house is located on the side of a quiet hill on a farm. Around the house there is the most expansive lush lawn with a small round pool to sit in with a glass of wine and a fire-pit area, around the corner swings and a huge hanging chair. Plenty of options for outdoor seating and hammocks for a chill under the trees. The amenities inside the house were of high quality and everything we needed was there and more. We didn't even spend time at the dam, I wish we could have stayed longer.

Negative: A dishwasher would have been nice.

Summary: Unforgettable weekend with friends in the most beautiful place beyond my expectations.

Positive: We had an amazing stay at The Oaks and it exceeded all our expectations! At first, it took a bit of convincing to get the family on board with Tulbagh instead of a beach holiday, but it was absolutely worth it. The setting allowed us to truly unwind, and the kids had plenty of space to run around and enjoy the splash pool. It’s a fantastic spot, and we’ll definitely be back!

Positive: The cottage is perfectly positioned in the Tulbagh area with amazing views.

Negative: It would be great if the outside braai area could be put under cover as you can not use the area if it rains, which forces you indoors to do all the cooking
