Positive: Fisaasbos is set on the most beautiful farm - surrounded by mountains. The accommodation is equipped with everything you need. The garden is an oasis for children to play. And the braai set under oak trees is our favourite part.

Positive: Beautiful setting on a secluded farm. We wanted a weekend getaway within a couple of hours of Cape Town with a rustic but comfortable feel and this hit the spot perfectly. The kids loved the big fenced-in garden and so did our dachshund. We took the whole family (3 generations with 4 kids aged between 3 and 9) on a walk to the dam which was a perfect distance for all ages and fitness levels. I had a mid-winter swim and the kids collected rocks and sticks to throw. The baboons were cause for much excitement for the whole family. The house was cosy with ample firewood, great books to browse and a well stocked farm-style kitchen. It was immaculately clean and had an inviting design with all rooms radiating from the living room. Riette was a wonderful host who provided detailed information and clear instructions for an easy check-in and was in contact to check that all was ok. Fisaasbos was everything we were looking for and much more! We cannot wait to come back again!

Positive: The fireplaces in the lounge and bedroom kept the house nice an warm on the cold winter nights. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. House was equipped with everything required. Lovely green and spacious garden. Nice walking paths although it may have been a little hazardous with the baboons. No one else in sight for a kilometre or two so you had the freedom to do as you please, within limits of course. No TV so forced to talk and play games with the family - wonderful!

Negative: Internet was poor; fortunately I did not need to do any work.

Summary: If you're looking for a relaxing getaway or to chill with family or friends, then this is the place.

Positive: We had such a stunning stay at Fisaasbos. It's dog friendly and secure for the animals which is such a bonus. The setting is magnificent - on the mountain, amongst orchards, with lots of mountain biking paths for avid trail runners and mountain bikers. It was a chilly weekend but we were warmed by very cosy fire places. Fully equipped with a dishwasher which just made life so easy. Riette, our host, was so helpful, sharing lots of tips on events and restaurants (there are lots of dog-friendly restaurants) in Tulbagh. And Tulbagh is just a dream. The farm is about a 15 minute drive out of Tulbagh central, but I never stay in the town itself because the surrounding farms are so exquisite. I will definitely recommend Fisaasbos and its team. Will definitely return :)

Positive: Fisaasbos is off the planet.. it's a hidden gem surrounded by the Winterhoek mountains, lush , unimaginable views, peace, tranquility and very pet friendly, property is massive, take the pets, family, friends 😆.. the sunset is soothing, the beauty of the green lawns, plants, trees.. the BBQ area, splash pool, privacy, out in the bush away from the world , fresh baked mornings , the skies 😀 a terrific blue, it's like living in a painting, I've traveled to many places in SA but this 💯 stole my heart.. rietta the hostess is as beautiful as the property, can't get better than this.. I would love to visit again soon.. experiences was phenomenal, meeting prinses the dog also just made our stay even more personal.. my dogs 🐕 enjoyed themselves with prinses 😆 it's definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone seeking peace, adventure , romance or whatever one is looking for at Fisaasbos it's all right there ✅️ baboons barking far far away in the mountains makes for a nice lullaby.. I could go on and on because I'm still reliving everything and I'm still not even close to finish.. but I'll leave the rest up to you to go experience some utter magic 😃
