This is a sunny, artistically appointed one bedroom/bath loft, with a private balcony entrance atop honeysuckle and jasmine-twined stairs.
It has a dreamily comfortable queen swing bed that is suspended from the exposed wooden beams and can sway gently, or be stilled by blocks.
The bathroom is also unique, with artistically tiled walk in shower, and handmade concrete countertops and sink, designed and created onsite.
The balconied upstairs suite has a private entrance with keypad lock. Breakfast bistro table and chairs overlook a lush green courtyard with fragrant flowers, berries and herbs depending on the season. Summary: Enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast. It was a cute, clean place. Everything about the experience was simple and very courteous.

Summary: My stay in The Firefly at Madison was perfect. I wish I could have stayed longer my I choose the room with the hanging bed... why not! The room had multiple places to curl up on including a window seat. There was a small refrigerator and a huge surprise, a French press. Yea! I loved the concrete bathroom sink and counter. The shower was huge and has a "rain" shower head. The garden overflowed with a variety of flowers in many colors. I especially enjoyed going up and down the stairs with honeysuckle twisting through the railings. Ellie, the owner, was very welcoming, as was her pretty kitty. A big thank you to Teddy who helped me with the hanging bed. He had worked all day, got rained on, and was still cheerful and accommodating at 8 pm in the evening. I would recommend this cozy, whimsical place to anyone wanting a sweet relaxing place to stay. Oh, by the way it's actually a bed AND breakfast! I was sad I needed to leave early and didn't partake in breakfast. Enjoy The Firefly at Madison all who go there. And be sure to visit Madison. It's stunning.
