This house is across the street from Delaware Bay.
2 steps and you are in our First Floor with kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom and family room. You can let your pets right out to our fenced back yard. Just open the sliding door and you can watch them. Two more bedrooms and four decks are upstairs. Wonderful views of the Bay and the Preserve
Off Season rentals ( Oct -April) have a substantial discount for bookings of 4 weeks or more.
Please note you will need to bring your own sheets and towels. We offer a
linen rental for $200.
Prime Hook Beach is a private beach with access to the beach for visitors at the cross streets. This is typical for beaches where privately owned homes are beachfront. Come enjoy the 5 decks and incredible space our home has to offer. There are movies, games, and bikes.
Come and relax at our home at Primehook Beach. We are across the street from the beach. Watch the dolphins in the open waters of the Delaware Bay from our second and third floors or the snow geese, grackles and gulls from our backyard that adjoins the Primehook National Wildlife Reserve. With three floors there is plenty of room for your family to spread out and relax. The top two floors were built in 2003 and the first floor has been remodeled.
We are across the street from the beach on the Delaware Bay, a short walk. Enjoy bike rides in our private community or go for long walks along the quiet beach looking for shells and sea glass. You will quickly see why Primehook is such a gem. It reminds us of Nags Head, only much closer or Ocean City, MD how it was 60 years ago.
We have two bedrooms on the first floor. One with a king size bed, the other with a full. They share a bathroom with a tub and shower. There is bedroom with 1 double and a bathroom with a shower on the second floor. The third floor has a loft bedroom with a queen size bed and its own half bathroom.This bedroom has a view of the water. At night you can lay in bed and see the ships with their lights on anchored in the Bay.
In nearby Milton, about 9 miles away, we have a Food Lion, a
Walgreens, a Subway, a Chinese carryout, a Domino's and one of our favorites, the Miltonian Restaurant with Greek/Italian and American cuisine. For more shopping we have Lewes and Rehobeth south on Route 1. There is the Boardwalk in Rehobeth and further south, in Ocean City as well as historic sites, theatres, amusement parks, the incomparable Henlopen State Park on the ocean in Rehobeth and all kinds of experiences awaiting you at the shore.

Summary: Our family of 6 had a fabulous time on our family vacation at this home. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and relax (5 couches!) and so many decks to take in the beautiful views of the Bay and the wildlife refuge. We took a few bike rides with bicycles provided with the property. Prime Hook Beach was unique with so many horseshoe crabs and very warm Bay water. Rehoboth Beach was not too far of a drive and we spent a few days there as well as we wanted to experience the Boardwalk and the massive waves at Rehoboth. Don’t expect to DoorDash meals as this location is a bit off the grid (which we enjoyed), and the grocery store is only 15 minutes away. The owner of this home was responsive and helpful. If you are looking for a quiet, serene spot in a quaint neighborhood surrounded by birds and other wildlife, this is it! And pet-friendly, too! Highly recommend!

Summary: We loved staying at this house. The view of the wildlife refuge is amazing. We were right across the road from a beach that had tons of horseshoe crabs spawning (you’ll only see that in May and June), a fenced in backyard for dogs and three floors with rooms.The owner is very attentive and answers emails fast.

Summary: It was great going on a vacation with our mini labradoodles! The fenced in yard made this trip enjoyable. Prime Hook beach gave our pups room to run. Plenty of room on the second floor to hang out. The decks and chairs were very comfortable.Would love to stay again!

Summary: Lovely getaway. Invited my parents and took our 3 adult kids AND our dog. House was perfect for all of us. Our dog loved the beach! The house backed up to the wildlife refuge and we had such gorgeous sunsets. Fenced yard for our dog was a bonus! We played cards each day while looking out over the bay on the second floor. Neighborhood was mature and well loved. Absolutely loved the third floor bedroom and seeing the lights on the ships at night and the calming views during the day. I would recommend The Nook for lunch and breakfast. We ate there twice.I would go back to Milford just to eat here again! Thank you for sharing your beach house!
