This house is across the street from Delaware Bay.
2 steps and you are in our First Floor with kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom and family room. You can let your pets right out to our fenced back yard. Just open the sliding door and you can watch them. Two more bedrooms and four decks are upstairs. Wonderful views of the Bay and the Preserve
Off Season rentals ( Oct -April) have a substantial discount for bookings of 4 weeks or more.
Please note you will need to bring your own sheets and towels. We used to offer a
linen rental but due to covid 19 we no longer do that.
Prime Hook Beach is a private beach with access to the beach for visitors at the cross streets. This is typical for beaches where privately owned homes are beachfront. Come enjoy the 5 decks and incredible space our home has to offer. There are movies, games, and bikes.
Come and relax at our home at Primehook Beach. We are across the street from the beach. Watch the dolphins in the open waters of the Delaware Bay from our second and third floors or the snow geese, grackles and gulls from our backyard that adjoins the Primehook National Wildlife Reserve. With three floors there is plenty of room for your family to spread out and relax. The top two floors were built in 2003 and the first floor has been remodeled.
We are across the street from the beach on the Delaware Bay, a short walk. Enjoy bike rides in our private community or go for long walks along the quiet beach looking for shells and sea glass. You will quickly see why Primehook is such a gem. It reminds us of Nags Head, only much closer or Ocean City, MD how it was 60 years ago.
We have two bedrooms on the first floor. One with a king size bed, the other with a full. They share a bathroom with a tub and shower. There is bedroom with 1 single bed and a bathroom with a shower on the second floor. The third floor has a loft bedroom with a queen size bed and its own half bathroom.This bedroom has a view of the water. At night you can lay in bed and see the ships with their lights on anchored in the Bay.
In nearby Milton, about 9 miles away, we have a Food Lion, a
Walgreens, a Subway, a Chinese carryout, a Domino's and one of our favorites, the Miltonian Restaurant with Greek/Italian and American cuisine. For more shopping we have Lewes and Rehobeth south on Route 1. There is the Boardwalk in Rehobeth and further south, in Ocean City as well as historic sites, theatres, amusement parks, the incomparable Henlopen State Park on the ocean in Rehobeth and all kinds of experiences awaiting you at the shore.

By the way, no waiting for keys at our house, we have resort lock so we can email access codes directly to you.
Options: We have a pet fee of $100 per pet per rental, a kayak rental fee of $150 which includes two sit on top kayaks, two life vests, two paddles and two wheeled carts. These are options you can add to your rental to fit your needs.

Summary: Great location for a family get together. It has everything needed. Fenced in backyard made it great for the pups. It was quiet, relaxing, nice for walking. Just anticipated all of our needs. We plan to return in the future.

Summary: What a great trip. Primehook Beach was amazing. The best part of the trip was being sandwiched between the bay on one side and the nature reserve in the backyard. Every way I turned there was a beautiful view. Second best part of the trip was how spacious the home is...three levels of living with endless balconies, plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and common spaces. I loved the remote location (if you want easy shopping and dining be prepared to drive), the natural beauty, and the easy-going nature of this small and lovely community. My teenage boys loved the trip too. We'll be back.

Summary: Jaw dropping views from this magnificent sun filled property! Host thought of everything, from comfy beach chairs, big umbrella, fully stocked kitchen, three tvs’ (but who wants to watch tv when the ocean view is right outside your massive front windows and outdoor porches!)

Summary: We stayed for a week in August with 4 adults, 2 kids (1 and 11 months) and 2 dogs. If you have kids I would recommend bringing a baby gate or two for the stairs. We had so much fun! The beach is only a 2 minute walk with an essentially private beach and Ron has a beach wagon already at the house if you’re bringing a lot to the beach. The fenced in yard was great for our 2 dogs. Would highly recommend this home!

Summary: I have stayed here multiple times and I can never say enough good things about this home, the location and especially the hosts! Such a safe neighborhood for the kids to just relax and be kids...and more than enough space for everyone to spread out and be comfortable...but cozy and homey feeling at the same time. Checking in is always a breeze and the hosts communication is always timely. I never worry about a thing when I stay here. Relaxing from beginning to end! We can't wait to come back!

Summary: In need of some down time, away from hustle and bustle the property and Prime Hook Beach was perfect. The home had plenty of space to relax in with fantastic views from the decks on the from and back. The fenced in back yard was great for our dogs. A short walk to the beach made it feel we were right on the beach. Already looking forward to returning

Summary: If you are looking for solitude.... yet close enough for fun, this is the place. Wanted to get my toes in the sand, and I did... but - the views of Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge were simply amazing!! Sunrise on the beach, sunset on the refuge. Perfection. And - Ron and Ann are the PERFECT hosts! Had a bit of issue, and they were AMAZING in correcting it!!! Stay here!! 10 of 10!
