Sand and sea beckon from the large picture windows of Chez Soleil on this beautiful stretch of the Delaware Bay.
Spectacular views of gorgeous sunrises from the Living Room, Dining Room, and Master Bedroom windows. Breathtaking sunsets over the Prime Hook Nature Preserve from the other rooms.
Relax in Adirondack chairs on the deck overlooking the bay or relax in garden chairs on the porch overlooking the preserve. Either one is beautiful to watch. Keep a look out into the bay and you might see the dolphins swimming past.
Enjoy the quietness and solitude as you soak in the sun, read a book, or watch the wildlife go by. Take a leisurely stroll down the beach combing for sea glass or seashells.
If you're feeling more adventurous, bring your bikes and ride along the winding Prime Hook Road stopping to take pictures of Blue Herons, Egrets, Eagles, and other migratory birds. Before you come in for the evening, sit out on the screened-in deck and watch the stunning sunset views over the National wildlife preserve.
All the rooms in Chez Soleil have windows with a view of the water whether it be the bay or the wildlife refuge.
The first floor is an open floor plan that encompasses a spacious kitchen, dining room, and living room. The oversized windows give these rooms unimpeded views of the Delaware Bay. Cooking essentials, Cable TV, high speed internet, and a full bath is also located on this floor for your convenience. Our off-season guests can enjoy the ambiance and warmth of the gas fireplace.
The second floor is comprised of three bedrooms that can accommodate a total of six people. The Master bedroom, which overlooks the bay, has a king bed with private bath, walk in closet and cable TV. The two rooms across the hall overlook the wildlife refuge. One room has a queen bed with private shower and cable TV, while the other has XL twin beds with a private bath (if requested the XL twin beds can be converted into another king). Bedding and linens are provided including cotton sheets and bath and beach towels.
The property next to Chez Soleil is a beach pathway access.
The seclusion of Prime Hook makes you feel that you have a little beach community to yourself but it’s only a twenty-five-minute ride south to the hustle and bustle of Lewes and Rehoboth. Not sure what to do? Walk the historic streets of Lewes, Delaware’s first settlement. Take a tour of Dogfish head brewery. Ride the waves at Cape Henlopen or tour the Fort Miles WWII Museum. Shop the outlets or walk the boards in Rehoboth. For those with younger ones a trip to Rehoboth’s Funland is a must.

Summary: This was our third stay at this property. It is perfect for our family of four. One of the reasons we keep returning is that we can hear the ocean from the master bedroom. It doesn’t get better than that! We will come back again, which is the measure of an outstanding property.

Summary: My sister and I and our husbands spent an idyllic weekend in this lovely home in early November. We lucked into unseasonably warm weather (70s) and were able to enjoy leisurely walks on the beach without bumping into lots of other people. The kitchen was well-stocked and very well organized. The beds were comfortable. The host provide lots of helpful information about the home and the area. If we are back in the area, we would definitely stay here again!

Summary: Chez Soleil is the first VRBO property we rented a second time, and for good reason. The spotless house is right on the quietest beach imaginable, with million dollar views. Our Corgi had a grand old time, as Primehook beach is pet friendly. I'm sure we'll return, sooner rather than later.

Summary: The property is fabulous. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. It is dog friendly, which made our getaway perfect with our pup. The beach was beautiful but had dead horseshoe crabs, which attracted horse flies. The house and views were perfect. I would definitely recommend.

Summary: Beautiful house right on the bay. Views were spectacular. Very private beach and access to the beach was so easy. My family had a great time here. Saw a bald eagle. And everyone had a great time even my daughter dog he loved looking for crabs .

Summary: Our family had a great week at the beach for our daughters' 16th birthdays. Chez Soleil is beautiful and immaculate and Nanette is responsive and thinks of everything. We enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the waves, cooking in the large kitchen, taking quiet walks with our dog on the private beach and celebrating the 4th of July with a local parade. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us. We will stay again.

Summary: We could not have been happier with our stay. The host Nannette made the process effortless from start to finish. The home is breathtaking on a private beach with just a short walk to the sand and water. The area is very quiet and private yet not too far from groceries, gas and things to do. It is also next to Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge which is beautiful and so peaceful. Highly recommend.

Summary: The house was immaculate, beds comfortable and the location was nice if you want something with less crowds and a little more remote. We stayed preseason but the beach was empty. Lots of Horeshoe crabs could make laying out on the beach a little uncomfortable but we are beach walkers and found it very interesting with lots of birds, crabs etc...Important to note that Fowler Beach (just north) is closed all summer for the nesting birds.
