Positive: I spent a truly timeless moment there; this place is a genuine haven of peace, far from the chaos of the city. The rooms are spacious and full of charm and personality. You feel like you're in a painting; every detail is significant. There's a special energy, and I recommend it to anyone seeking peace and a connection with nature. Not to mention the staff, who were incredible and incredibly attentive.

Positive: As others have said, this is a special but different place. Rather like a retreat, very calm, in the forest, with excellent food and lovely helpful staff. Our huge accommodation was stunning, with the largest outside bathroom ever & spacious beds & grounds. The massage was THE best ever, 90mins plus steam box for 20 mins for $55. Out of this world. Superb oils. Very traditional and skilful. Try it! Yoga was Hatha and 1:1 for $15. Very Enjoyable but not a workout if that’s what you want! Dinner was superb. Local Waterfall and swim was fun.
Negative: It is 50minutes by taxi from Kandy. And irritating insects after midday.

Positive: Incredibile retreat in the midst of the jungle. The decor is so researched - hands down one of the most beautiful room I have stayed in a hotel - every detail is studied and so fitting. Meals nurturing and wholesome and the ayurvedic treatment was unique.... Staying at samadhi has been the best choice of our Sri Lanka trip!
