Positive: Breakfast at this hotel is an experience. You are seated by a friendly hostess. Immediately, a server is there to take your order. Our coffee was piping hot and very good. Each morning we ate breakfast in the hotel and enjoyed it. The eggs Benedict were perfect. The avocado toast was so rich and tasty. The staff at this hotel are so helpful and friendly. Each day, we went and toured and the doormen handed us small waters. They offered extra umbrellas. They were thoughtful and intent on meeting our needs. The rooms were serviced each day and we received fresh towels and two glass bottles of water. It was a nice touch. Every evening after dinner, we went to the bar. One night, we had desert and were not disappointed. The cheesecake was so creamy. I cannot say enough about the staff. From the front door to the reception desk to the bar even the housekeeper. We met her one morning as we were leaving our room. She asked how we liked the service and we told her it was wonderful. Her response was, "If you are happy then I am happy". We thanked her for the good job she was doing and left a nice tip the day we left. The next time we visit DC, we will stay at the Jefferson.
Negative: I can't think of anything that could be better. This is Washington's best kept secret in my opinion.
Summary: To stay here is a treat. It is luxurious and comfortable. Fabulous staff!
