1 Bedroom Cottage in Lyth Hill, Shrewsbury

Accessed by a 250 metre private tarmacked road right to the door, this brick built
cottage used to be the granary on our small farm. It has been converted and equipped to a high standard .It has a large open plan living area/kitchen upstairs, from which a stable door leads to a raised outside seating area. Downstairs - a comfortable double bedroom with king size bed, shower room, hall and enclosed porch with drying area and storage for coats, bikes etc. There is private parking beside the cottage.
There is a local pub in the village - The New Inn(10 mins walk) and a regular bus service into Shrewsbury. Quick and easy access to main trunk roads and to Shropshire's areas of outstanding natural beauty.

Summary: We had a lovely week at this cottage. Nora and Simon were so helpful and welcoming. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. There were many thoughtful touches. The location was perfect for exploring the area and i would recommend the Park and Ride to go into Shrewsbury. We hope to return in future!

Summary: We had a super stay in Hook-a-gate at this spacious and very well presented and equipped cottage. Nora was a lovely host and left a generous welcome basket. We like to try different places and never stay in the same accomodation twice, but I’d definitely make an exception for this lovely property in a great location to explore Shrewsbury and the surrounding area. Summary: Second time we have stay here ... lovely cottage for a couple in small village 4 miles from centre of Shrewsbury. Greeted with a lovely welcome pack including milk, eggs, bread , butter and biscuits . Bathroom and shower on the ground floor and lounge/kitchen (one room) on the first floor with outside sitting area if the weather is warm - lovely views. Great base to explore this part of the world as we visited Powis Castle and charming village of Ludlow both about 45 minutes driving. Shrewsbury 10 minutes max is also an excellent walk around with lovely gardens etc
