Positive: The Hive was very peaceful, free parking right outside the property. The bed was comfortable. Lovely bathroom.

Negative: The Hive wasn't an apartment but a small studio, there were cooking facilities, an air fryer, electric frying pan etc but not much room to put them on. There was a sofa to sit on whilst watching TV but it was very uncomfortable, a shame because there is enough room at the end of the bed for a more comfy sofa.

Summary: Not what we thought it would be

Positive: The room was very spacious, the shower was excellent, bed comfortable, kitchen area more than adequate for studio type accommodation. Parking immediately in front of accommodation was very convenient. Nice effort made with dog kit provided…(but with £25 charge extra so they should). Welcoming owners and friendly resident dogs. Outdoor table & chairs.

Negative: Very limited opportunities to walk dog without getting in the car . The owners have provided a space of sorts, but it’s right in front of shepherd huts so I felt uncomfortable exercising my dog in full view and where they have open access. The road was far too fast and busy to walk with dog. Garden in front of studio not secure. Nowhere comfortable to sit other than on the bed - the chairs and little sofa provided were more ornamental than practical…couldn’t be used with dining table so ended up eating on the bed too….which was a shame as the room space could have been used better.

Summary: Spacious with some very good facilities.

Positive: The location was amazing so quiet and wonderful views but easy access to main roads. It was very comfortable and clean and little touches like the the treats in the fridge were an extra bonus!

Positive: Quiet location, lots of equipment and utensils. Owners attentive and friendly without being obtrusive. Good shower. Good value for money.

Negative: Nothing, it was perfect for a 1 night stay in order to go hill walking early the next morning.
