Positive: This stunning home is like a Tardis - it looks little from the outside, but once inside, there is plenty of room for everyone, with big bedrooms and bathrooms, and a lovely kitchen/dining and living room which opens onto a deck overlooking the pool. The owner has thought of everything - we had plenty of cutlery and crockery (more than just one setting, which is great as it means you don't have to keep running the dishwasher half full). There were condiments for cooking, oil, sugar, coffee and a selection of tea. Lovely shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathrooms. There was even a cleverly disguised internal laundry, which we didn't use. The decor is beautiful - simple but very elegant, with a strong designer touch. Sophie (the owner) responded to questions immediately (we ran out of gas, so had to find out how to swap the new bottle in), so we were never left hanging for an answer to a query. Would love to visit again in the warmer months. Hubby swam in the heated pool, but the weather was too chilly for the rest of us to take a dip. We really appreciated that the garden was safely enclosed for our dog, though she did manage to run away as the side gate had been left ajar (unbeknown to us). Happily, she didn't get very far. With a dog-friendly beach at the bottom of the road, a park behind the house, a beautiful botanical garden across the way, and the pub and bistro within walking distance, we could not have asked for a better location. The Shoalhaven area is our new favourite destination!

Negative: NOTHING! We had a power cut the morning of our departure (scheduled by the electricity company, who were installing new poles), but obviously didn't anticipate this, so had to make do with a cold shower before departure and no tea/coffee for breakfast. This was not something the owner could have known about, so no blame there. Some instructions for working the reverse cycle heating would be useful - it took a while to work out how to zone the heat at night NOT to come on in the bedrooms - we were too warm with it on!

Summary: Fabulous and elegant holiday home - can't wait to visit again in the warmer months.

Positive: Amazing location, short stroll to coffee and local shops and only a short drive in to Berry or Nowra. The interior was immaculate and beautiful, and outside a large backyard and pool for the kids to play.

Summary: An amazing home to spend the week with the family. Inside and out we had plenty to spend our time.
