Positive: This is a great place to stay. Very comfortable and clean. The staff are really welcoming and very accommodating. Easy distance from Cardiff. I have stayed here before when the restaurant has been open and the food and drinks were excellent.

Negative: Nothing bad to say about this place, though I was disappointed that the pub/restaurant wasn't open the night I stayed. I was made aware of this in advance but it did mean having to drive to find food.

Positive: The food is spectacular - a real treat!

Negative: Car parking very crowded and not reserved for guests and crammed in the evenings so a real issue after a long journey not being able to park - would be good to reserve spaces for paying hotel guests? We were lucky someone left just as we arrived. A table for dinner really needs to be pre booked - we were not alerted to this pre arrival but managed to be squeezed in for last orders - if you are staying here book your table in the restaurant as the food is simply great especially fillet steak Rossini!! Bedroom could do with done hooks on wall/behind door to hang things and only one chair in double room But overall excellent as the good made up for the other shortcomings and the staff were great and well trained

Negative: Unfortunately the pub was closed on Sunday evening and full days on Monday and Tuesday therefore we had to travel for evening meals. Breakfast however was still served.

Positive: I needed a place to sleep before a meeting the next day, and it was absolutely ideal particularly after a long drive. Lovely room, friendly people and a very tasty breakfast in the morning. Perfect!

Negative: Shower in room 2 could have been better. We were walking the staff Trail and it was a good 20 min hike to pub but definitely worth it.
