Positive: Very quiet rural location, hosts were lovely. Cottage was really well set out and really clean. Bedrooms were a good size and beds very comfy.
Negative: Slight musty smell in the cottage but it was the start of the season.

Positive: Well maintained cosy and comfortable. Instructions and directions are clearly provided for all household functions required. The location it calm and serene. An excellent getaway spot. Great value and friendly atmosphere. Met quite a lot of provisions available to help settle in. Quite thoughtful of the owners. Dogs are friendly and welcoming. Would definitely consider it again if coming to the area.
Negative: Roads leading to the place are narrow and winding. The roads are dark and in the bushes. Checkin time should be earlier so that first time visitors will be reassured they aren't heading to nowhere. If you are coming for the first time at night, you may imagine one of those thrillers with a lonely cottage in the woods and something popping up .....

Positive: Quiet location, plenty of space, the early morning mist cloaking the field with the horses was a stunning bonus!
Negative: Parking was a little tricky at times but nothing too troubling. A kitchen roll could have been useful, though I'm sure the host would happily have provided one if asked.

Positive: Self catering, layout of the cottage, the owners, dogs :)
Negative: Minor stuff - Would have liked more details on the farm access, it is difficult via single country lane [i hate that], car parking onsite is a squeeze and it was not easy, but the owners mother was very helpful [Thank you], noise from M4 ,motorway its continuous [Welsh government to blame for that no noise barriers], Internet is a little slow [for work] insufficient hot water for 3-4 people to consecutively have a shower [planning required - which is fine] and lastly too many emails from ''Sykes Cottages''... overkill.
Summary: Nice place to stay for a work and family visit to Wales, 100% better than the Premier Inn.
