Positive: Good location and nicely appointed room. Lots of character and very clean. Newly refurbished. WiFi good.

Negative: Shower mixer and door lock didn't work properly. No staff around in the morning, so breakfast was unavailable. Would have been helpful to know this in advance. Just left key in room and departed.

Negative: Breakfast not available on site. Instructions for the cafe where it was available, with a 20 % discount, were so sketchy that we were unable to locate the venue. We walked up and down the street a couple of times without success. In the end we gave up and went to Abingdon for breakfast.

Positive: Lovely old pub, clean room with very comfy bed. Towels were soft and very absorbent, patterned instead of usual white. Staff excellent, friendly and accommodating. Really nice complimentary biscuits!

Negative: Coffee machine had no instructions so couldn’t work it, even staff couldn’t. No food (except chips) as no chef.
