Positive: The hosts were easily accessible by phone. The facility provided all the amenities that are listed. Location wasn't the best, but hey, I'd say we were safe.

Negative: When we arrived after 3pm we had to sit approximately an hour in the car as the apartment was still being cleaned. It is on the 4th floor and the elevator had been out of use since the day before! We were not notified, and had to struggle up the stairs with our suitcases and bags. Biggest turn off was literally 6 hours before arrival, I received an email from the host that said I needed to pay and additional sum to confirm booking. The 3 nights booked cost $300usd, however, i was informed i needed to pay an additional $197 usd to allow me access to the property and this was NOT a refundable security deposit. I ended up paying and the host apologized and said he understood how frustrating it was for me as other guests experienced same. He assured me it wasn't his fault but that of Booking.com My advise to others confirm with host the actual cost prior to booking. I ended up paying $497us for 3 nights wasn't worth it! Also bare in mind, there are persons who are living on property long-term, it is not just tourist/visitors.

Positive: Location was great. Host was very responsive. The variety of the available facilities was appreciated.

Negative: Previously damaged cutlery, crockery and pots should be replaced. Shower shelf and toilet paper holder were missing. Previously damaged drawer door in bathroom should be fixed. Bedroom furniture door handles need attention. Drawer bases should be cleaned as standard. Ceiling fan blades needs cleaning. We chose not to raise the above points during our stay due to additional family bereavement, and we were able to function around these issues. I am sure that the host will be keen to address the above.
