Accessed by a 250 metre private tarmac road right to the door, this brick-built cottage used to be the granary. It has been converted and equipped to a very good standard, with a large open-plan living area upstairs, from which a stable door leads to a raised outside seating area. Downstairs you have a comfortable double bedroom with kingsize bed, shower room, hall and enclosed porch with drying area and storage for coats, bikes etc. You also have private parking beside the cottage.
There is a good local pub in the village (10 minutes walk) and a bus service into Shrewsbury giving quick and easy access to main trunk roads and to Shropshire’s areas of outstanding natural beauty.

Summary: We enjoyed a lovely long weekend at The Corn House. The owner, Nora, had kindly provided a welcome hamper and had the cottage beautifully prepared for our arrival. The cottage is extremely comfortable and well equipped and in a peaceful location. Shrewsbury is only 10 minutes away and there is a very handy Park and Ride service nearby, making it very easy to get into the town which has lots of character and we also enjoyed a trip on the river. Ironbridge is also within very easy reach. We would happily stay there again.

Summary: We had a marvellous stay in The Corn House. A very warm welcome, and food basket much appreciated. We were impressed with the county and enjoyed walks in Church Stretton and surrounding areas.

Summary: A beautiful hidden gem. Tucked away in a very private, peaceful spot, with everything you need for a lovely stay. Very comfortable and clean.Wonderfully welcoming hosts, and a lovely thoughtful hamper on arrival.Just a short walk to the local friendly pub, and 10 minute walk via the public footpath to catch the bus to Shrewsbury.Perfect, just what we needed.
