The sea is just out your back door, beyond the beautiful pool. There's a small private beach, with world class diving and snorkelling past that (there is a pristine mini-wall right there, and the 'Big Wall' is a five minute swim from shore). One of the world's best beaches is a few minutes drive away, but you can escape the hustle and bustle that goes along with its popularity, whenever you want to. The views are lovely, rivalled only by the peace and quiet. It's relaxed, Caribbean, island vibes all round - oh, and one of the island's most famous restaurants is literally just next door...

THE SPACE
A lovely, simple, ground floor, 1200 square foot 2 bed 2 bath apartment with ocean views in West Bay on Grand Cayman Island. Easy access - no stairs.
You'd like to rent with us because you didn't come to the Caribbean to stay on the 7th floor of a hotel chain property, you don't want to pay for a "turn down service", and because you appreciate getting away from the noise and the loud music that goes along with 7 Mile Beach in the evenings (but don't worry, that world famous beach is just 5 mins away!).
The apartment has a very large living space, and it's all open plan. The kitchen is large with stools and lots of bench space. There's a couch that seats 6 comfortably and a large dining table to match. The apartment is fully furnished - towels, linen, cutlery, pots, pans, everything.
5 steps out your back door is a beautiful pool with plenty of deck chairs, and the sea is just beyond. And you're on the ground floor, so the whole pool area feels like its your own private space.
There's world class diving and snorkeling straight out the back, tanks and guides available (at an additional charge) on site, and a small private beach - folding chairs, beach towels and a beach umbrella are provided in the condo.
Two of the island's most famous (Macabuca - fun beach fair - dive or snorkel right off the back of the restaurant or snorkel home from lunch and The Cracked Conch - fine dining) restaurants are next door, and some of Cayman's most famous attractions, including the Cayman Turtle Centre and the Dolphin Centre, are just as close.
And then there's everything else that Cayman has to offer you - which is all super close as well (its not the world's biggest island!).
Our ground floor condo will suit couples as well as families or people who don't want to climb up and down stairs every time they head to the pool. We provide DVD players in the living and guest room with a wide selection of DVD's on the off chance that it rains. Classic games and cards are also available.
The Neighborhood:
West Bay is where Cayman comes alive. Seven Mile Beach stretches right up the western coast of the island, but the hotel chains peter out and are replaced by the things you really came to the Caribbean to see - little streets, little shops and stalls, bright colors - the closer you get the more you'll really fell like you've "arrived".
The road that leads you to our place hugs the ocean - you'll never get lost if you follow the ocean!
The diving and snorkeling in West Bay is phenomenal and in particular off the back of the Coconut Bay condominiums. As a super rare bonus it is roughly a 2 minute walk from your back patio. Patrick dives and snorkels (a couple times a day weather permitting) while Whitney is a dedicated snorkeling enthusiast.
The West Bay has several of the premier restaurants on the island offering a full variety of vacation's best options within 2-8 minutes driving. Macabuca, The Cracked Conch, Vivo, Heritage Kitchen and Ristorante Pappagallo to list a few we recommend.
And the size of the island means that while you'll feel like you've gotten away from it all - everything that Cayman has to offer you will never be more than a few minutes drive away.
GETTING AROUND
There's lots of parking right in front of the unit. There's also a local bus service and some taxis, but nearly everyone who comes to Cayman rents a car - almost every major car rental company has an office at or near the airport and a couple local choices also.
Driving is on the LEFT hand side of the road in Cayman. We prefer the European style drivers configuration when renting cars if available (steering wheel on the right of the vehicle) as it seems to make the transition feel more natural).

Summary: This place was amazing and did not disappoint! Easy to navigate around and restaurants close by. It was very clean, well kept and had everything you would need for a nice trip. Summary: Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids age 11 and 13) had the pleasure of ringing in the new year here. Everything was as described. The view was amazing. The beds comfortable and the kitchen was stocked very well. We have rented many condos over the years and we really appreciated that this one came stocked with all the basics like paper towels, Kleenex, hand soap, etc. The management company was top notch. When we notice a beach chair was broken our first day, they got a replacement to us within a day. Our flight home had a very late departure and since the property did not have someone coming in the same day, they we super accommodating in allowing us a late check out. The waterfront on the property had a nice sandy area before the rocks and the rock entrance has a ladder. Unfortunately for us the first few days were calm but we needed a few days to get out kids acclimated to snorkeling,and by the time they were ready the water was no longer calm for entry! I guess now we have to come back again! And we won’t hesitate to stay here again.

Summary: We had a lovely stay at this beautiful condo. We enjoyed walking to the Turtle Center for our day of snorkeling with the turtles. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner at Macabuca restaurant (the view and atmosphere was phenomenal). The ocean view was wonderful but the waves looked intimidating and we did not venture out into the water. There are definitely safer places on the island to snorkel for the inexperienced snorkeler. Overall a wonderful stay to jump start our vacation on this beautiful island. Thank you!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Coconut Bay! Our condo was well equipped, very clean and had the perfect amount of space for us. With 3 kids we used the pull out bed and it was great! We enjoyed the pool practically to ourselves, the lovely view and the snorkel opportunity right there. Loved having so many places close by as well. Would highly recommend this condo!

Summary: Everything from booking to check-in to our 8 day stay was perfection. Tim, the owner, and his management team were all amazing to work with from Day 1. The property itself is situated at one of the best spots on the island - West Bay! Immaculate, clean, and located right by the pool with an excellent view of the Caribbean right out the back door. The property came with all the necessary cookware to eat in, washer/dryer so you can pack light, and lots of toiletry items including shampoo/conditioner/body and face wash. Ample towels and blankets were also provided for our stay. Macabuca and Cracked Conch are only a 2 minute walk from the lroperty and ample dive shops in the area. If you are a diver this is definitely an excellent place to stay! We loved everything about it and plan to return in the near future! Many thanks again to Tim!

Summary: Our family of 5 stayed 6/2024, about 5 days. This condo is fresh and clean and appears recently updated. It has everything, from beach towels, ample dishes and flatware, and plentiful blankets and pillows for 5 of us. The furniture and beds are very comfortable, and the AC + ceiling fans keep the temps pleasant. Teapot, blender, good pots & pans, food storage; many extra little things that made the stay convenient. The pool and ocean view are right out the patio door so it's the first thing you see when you walk in. It is a small and quiet complex so you may at times have that beautiful pool and beach to yourself! It's far enough from 7 mile beach that you can spend the entire vacation in quiet, but it's also easy enough to get around for restaurants, etc. Pretty much everything you need is a few minutes drive, and in some cases, just a walk: we walked to the Turtle Centre and Dolphin Discovery, and to the Cracked Conch next door. Check in was a piece of cake, communication with the owners and the management company was also super easy. Checkout was very simple as well: we tidied up, put a load of towels in and loaded our dirty dishes, and out we went. We appreciated that there were no surprises upon arrival. Uncomplicated house rules, easy checkout process, and the photos you see online are exactly what you get. We were able to enjoy every moment of our vacation without a care. We would 100% come back to this rental, it was perfect for our family!
