Positive: The condo is lovely and has lots of upgraded amenities. The kitchen is well stocked for a gourmet chef...including sharp knives. The entire condo was squeaky clean. For scuba divers, the dive shop next door was very convenient, and there is a sea pool on the premises for easy entry and shore diving. There is a quality restaurant next door with vegetarian and seafood options. Both the Cracked Conch and Nova restaurants are a 2 - 6 minute car ride from the condo. We would likely stay here again, but only with an assurance of 2 fairly important issues outlined below.

Negative: The price is commensurate with an oceanfront condo, however there is no oceanfront view unless you step outside to the patio. While the condo faces the ocean and has wall to wall sliding glass doors, you cannot see the ocean due to the fact that the owner keeps the shades closed and doesn’t provide a remote to open the shades. What is the point of an oceanfront condo except to enjoy the view of the ocean? We felt taken advantage of due to the high price of the condo and the advertised feature of “oceanfront” condo. Additionally, we advised the property manager that the fans and lights on the patio did not work, but they remained off the entire week. Even though the dining room table is located on the patio, we could not enjoy any dinners on the dining room table because there was no light.

Summary: Get a written guarantee of adjustable window shades in order to enjoy the ocean view.
