Summary: Lovely place to stay and visit Vindolanda and Hadrians wall. Thai food and breakfast were faultless, nicely decorated rooms and comfy beds. The staff were really friendly with a fantastic sense of humour. Can't wait to come again! Thank you

Summary: Lovely Hotel, surrounding area beautiful too. Close to Gateshead & A69, but so peaceful. Rooms are lovely, and food and service to match , will return for sure.

Summary: Bowes is perfect for visiting Hadrian’s Wall and the many forts and museums around. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate both nights at the Bowes and the food on both nights was very good. The Thai food was delicious and you could tell it was all freshly prepared and cooked. The bed was comfortable and ideal for us after long walks. We would have no hesitation in staying again.

Summary: Superb relaxing stay at the Bowes Hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The food was excellent, all home made and plenty of choice on offer. They also cater for vegetarians and vegans which made my day! All the Thai dishes on the menu are authentic and very good. The Thai mains can be made vegan or vegetarian with tofu or quorn. The breakfast was also brilliant with plenty of choice for all dietary requirements. They cooked me a full vegan breakfast and supplied me with oat milk for my coffee and cereal and vegan spread for my toast. They certainly made a real effort to accommodate my dietary needs. The hotel is spotless and the bedrooms are finished to a very high standard. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and the shower nice and powerful. The train station is a stone throw away and the location is perfect for exploring Northumberland. I will definitely return to this hotel and would highly recommend it to my family and friends. Thank you for such a lovely stay.
