Summary: We had a lovely stay in a comfortable room. We had a nice dinner in the bar which was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and served with a smile. And the beer’s not bad either!

Summary: I was a completely unplanned visitor who trekked the moors at night to reach the Inn. Though the only thing that happened on the moors was fulfilling an American's silly Holmesian fantasy of walking the moors at night, everyone was concerned for my safety and I really appreciated that. My stay was wonderful, the food was really delicious, and everyone with whom I spoke was just up-front and pleasant. I will be back some day and guess where I'll stay?

Summary: Wonderful stop if you're in the area. Very close to Steel Rigg. Staff were very friendly & there was a great vibe in the bar. Food (dinner & breakfast) was lovely. Room had everything you need including large towels which was a bonus!
