Positive: We stayed at this hotel for 8 days. The location is 10 out of 10. All the main attractions are within walking distance. The room was spotlessly clean (thanks to Ceren). Cleaning and change of bed linen and towels were done daily. Breakfast on the terrace with a breathtaking view was simply wonderful.You can see everything in the photo. Thank you, Ceren and Asiye, you have golden hands! All the ingredients are fresh, there's a coffee machine—just ask, and they'll make you coffee in the separate coffee machine. They also have freshly brewed tea, instant coffee, and milk. We express our deepest gratitude to the staff of the The Big Urban Stay :Ceren, Asiye, Beyto, Isa,Hoseyin, Abdullah! Positive: Perfect location, close to Galata Tower & Istiklal street. Also very close to Sishane metro station and the funicular to Karakoy (3-4 min walk). About 10-15 mins walk downhill to bus, tram and ferry stations in Galataport & Karakoy. Although it is close to busy areas, it was quiet and I could rest well overnight. Good breakfast and a really nice view from the terrace where you have breakfast. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Negative: Nothing to complain about.

Summary: All in all, it was a very good choice and I would stay here again if I ever come back to Istanbul.

Positive: Location is good, easy to get to the Istiklal street and bus/subway stop. The front-desk staff (day shift) was very friendly and helped with everything we needed.

Negative: We booked a room for 3 people and once we opened our luggage, there was no space left. We had to literally leap between the luggage to move around. It's much smaller than it looks on the photos. For 1 person is ok, 2 could work, but for 3 definitely not. Bathroom is also tiny. Really poor breakfast (for ex: no fruits at all). Elevator is very small and can't handle 3 people with luggage (2 adults 1 kid). We had to split 1 person with 2 luggage and then 2 people with 1 luggage. If someone else is using the elevator you may need to wait or use the stairs.

Summary: Low budget hotel, tiny room, poor breakfast. Disappointed from the 1st day. Friendly staff though :)

Positive: The hotel receptionists, especially Mr. Beyto, were extremely friendly and helpful. Also, the lady chef on the terrace was very talented and prepared excellent breakfasts. The terrace view for breakfast was also wonderful.

Positive: A family run hotel, with the brothers managing the reception. They were friendly and helpful. The view from my room was just stupendous, especially at sunset. I could sit there and look at it for hours!

Negative: Bathroom was very small and the shower cubicle was tiny!

Positive: The friendly and hospitable staff and location. The included breakfast on the roof terrace was wonderful! The comfortable bedding! Fast WiFi.

Negative: It’s currently being renovated but we understand and support it. We were not inconvenienced at all.
