Positive: The place is very large, clean, and well stocked. We loved the availability of pretty much anything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. Most places offer little more than salt and pepper which is a major hassle to go and buy what we need to make meals, then throw it all away before we board a plane to our next stay where we have to do it all over again. Here, we had everything we needed. A simple courtesey that makes a world of difference in our stay. We also liked having the list of favorite restaurants and only wished we took a photo of the list before we went out for the day because we ended up going to a place that was less than desireable. When we got back we noticed that the restaurant that we went to was not on the list. They even had a massage chair available in the master bedroom. I think it would be a great idea to have that in the living room, but it was available none the less. There is a view of the ocean from a long distance, which was another nice touch.

Negative: The TV viewing options were less than desireable. There was no way to cast from our phones to the TV due to the TV being a bit outdated. The Netflix and Prime options app on the TV would not let us view anything untill we deleted previous guests accounts than logged in with our own. That normally would not have been a problem if it were not for the fact that as per the directions left for us, they were available without having to log into our own accounts. There was no option for watching live TV to catch up on the latest news, etc. I suggested an updated TV to the host and why it would be helpful and she seemed to be very receptive to the idea, however was not able to accomodate the change prior to our arrival. If you are looking at photos and see one of a large screen TV (larger than 55"), then you have an updated TV and this problem is not a problem any longer. In tht case, this review would be another 10 star review with all of the others. One last thing that was a slight nuissance was that there was apparantly no or very little effort put into insulating the ceiling of the guest quarters which was pretty noticable since the hosts quarters apparantly have hardwood floors. We could not hear voices or TV, but walking and rolling somenting across the room occasionsally was very noticable.

Positive: The property, inside and outside was exceptionally clean with all the amenities available on site. I enjoyed the peace and privacy of the home and the patio. The view was very peaceful…birds, geckos, etc.

Positive: extremely spacious, private and hosts were accommodating to all of my needs. Ruth and Todd are a friendly couple that know the area, provided whatever additional recs/accommodations needed and made for an excellent first trip to the big island!

Negative: it was a bit remote from Kona or Hilo, which made commuting to activities in the cities a bit tricky, but it was such a nice accommodation, I might do it all o we again!
