Positive: We had a wonderful stay at this authentic and atmospheric place! The location is perfect – close to some main tourist spots, but also a great base to explore off-the-beaten-path areas. The host was incredibly attentive and welcoming, offering excellent recommendations on what to see and do nearby. Positive: Carolina is an exceptional host. She is an artist and expert on health, healing, and nutrition. Our bodies and souls were refreshed. From the moment we met Carolina, she went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable revivifying adventure. Her cabin is exquisitely decorated and blended with nature. We loved waking up with and in nature. We had both a luxurious in door sleeping environment, and a beautifully appointed outdoor/covered kitchen, dining/lounging area, and shower. She took us to the Naalehu Market and sublime beach hideaways, and nourished us with a delicious feast from her farm. We drank lemongrass tea from her garden. We enjoyed gorgeous walking trails with ocean views right outside her door. Her canine companion Luna is noble. Her goats and chickens are a delight as well. Thank you, Carolina, for your hospitality and care!

Positive: Very warm welcome from Caroline. The atypical setting of the cabin we were given was a lovely surprise. Also worth mentioning was the very pleasant outdoor bathtub and a wonderful organic breakfast prepared by Caroline with produce from the garden.

Positive: The disconnection from the business of the world. The location was very close to the wedding I had to attend. The room was very clean and bed was super comfortable. We loved “luna” Carolina’s pup. The view of the ocean was amazing. The air quality on the south side hawaii is very refreshing.

Positive: I spent 3 nights at Carolina's accomodation. A small farm with lots of chickens, two dogs and two goats and a small herb garden. You can hear the dogs barking at night (earplugs are available) but also the crickets, which doesn't bother me at all. Who can't love the sound of nature? I have read through the other reviews and cannot understand the negative ones at all. The description of the accommodation and the pictures are clear. The bed is too high? If the bed were lower, you wouldn't be able to see the sea and the sunrise. It's also very practical because you can store your suitcases and bags under the bed. As a woman, the outdoor shower didn't bother me at all. Who is supposed to stare? The animals? By the way, there is a shower curtain. You can't expect luxury accommodation for this price, but this one serves its purpose perfectly (I was out all day and only stayed there overnight). The location is also perfectly fine, a quiet neighborhood (except the dogs), but not isolated. If you don't like animals and don't like the countryside, then you shouldn't book this accommodation. It's terrible how some people here rate Carolina and her accommodation. There are always things that you don't like, but then to leave a review that is below the belt is really not right. Carolina is a very warm and welcoming person who is wonderful with her animals and has some great tips. I would be happy if I had her in my neighborhood😊

Negative: The geckos! I'm a little bit scared of geckos, but that's just nature and no reason to rate Carolina bad, it's not her fault😊

Positive: The organic garden space took us back to the 1970’s where chickens and chicks roamed free and an organic home garden provided the vegetables. Beautiful plants with papaya trees. Very pleasant. Breakfast is a rare treat with fresh goat kefir with fruit , fresh eggs, and homemade sourdough bread. Sleeping accommodations were very comfortable and cozy.

Negative: If you have heavy baggage, you have to carry over pathway.

Summary: Our hostess made us very welcome and definitely filled our stay with aloha

Positive: The front porch, bidet, and shower were very nice. There were plenty of cooking necessities in the fridge and kitchen. Really convenient for very interesting places to visit on the south coast of the Big Island.

Negative: Back yard seating area was not comfortable for relaxing after a long day exploring.
