Positive: I liked everything about this place. The room was beautifully maintained as well s the facilities and the pool area. Pierre was extraordinarily helpful and the mother prepared a fantastic breakfast. I have rarely felt so taken care of at a lodgement before.

Positive: Pierre was very welcoming and the breakfast was incredible. The location of the house was very accessible to Siena and Chianti. The swimming pool and grounds were very nice. Gaston the dog was friendly and very cute.

Positive: The location has all the facilities you may need: very well equipped kitchen, dish washer and washing machine, air conditioning in each bedroom and living room, 2 very nice bathrooms, private parking, a small swimming pool, barbecue place, sunbeds and places to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. In the small city nearby you can find a supermarket, a drugstore, and some restaurants. Only 20 minutes drive to Siena, 45 min to Montalcino, 45-60 min to Volterra and San Gimignano,and 1h to Grosetto and the beautiful seaside. The host, Piero, is very nice, open and helpful, gave us very good advice for parking in Siena :) Overall, a great experience for us!

Positive: The family that runs the place are all so so nice! We were assisted to our room. (There are stairs to contend with - but they were kind and helped with my bags.). They offered the opportunity to have a home cooked meal for dinner. This offer was great since you are in a peaceful rural area. The dinner was delicious and cost was modest. It was a four course traditional Italian meal. We loved every bite. The decor is unique to each room and the place oozes with charm. The family were super kind and helpful with our requests. Breakfast was over the top delicious!

Negative: We enjoyed the country retreat and we had a wine tour scheduled so the location worked perfectly for us. However- if you don’t have a car - there is nothing close by. Also air conditioning is available but is set to cool - but not get really cold. This seemed common in Italy. So not really a complaint- just an observation.

Summary: A short drive to Sienna - with the peace of the countryside.

Positive: We have 4-night stay here, and everything is perfect! The host, Pierre, Eric and their mother were extremely welcoming, provided helpful information, from parking location in central Siena to restaurants with great foods, etc. Everything they did makes our stay so comfortable. Good location for us to visit Siena and other villages in Tuscany by drive. The room is spacious and clean. We also have public living room. The whole building is in the countryside with amazing view and history. Every morning, Pierre prepared and served a variety of foods to us, so delicious. As a pet lover, we had our lovely pet friends here, Gaston, Stig… We hope we can come back here some time in the future!
