Positive: Tea Hills Lake is a wonderful place to stay if you’re looking for peace and beautiful scenery. Hidden among the tea plantations, the hotel offers stunning views over the lake and a very relaxing atmosphere. What really makes this hotel stand out is its exceptionally friendly staff. The team goes out of their way to make sure guests feel welcome and have an enjoyable stay. The food was good, and the quiet surroundings make it the perfect place to unwind. The hotel is also an excellent base for hikers tackling stages 7 and 8 of the Pekoe Trail and for visiting a nearby tea factory. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend Tea Hills Lake to anyone looking to experience Sri Lanka’s beautiful tea country.
Negative: The only minor downside was that the beds were a little short. Not an issue for us (we are all relatively short) but if you are taler than 180 cm, this might be an issue.
Summary: A peaceful hideaway among the tea plantations, where warm hospitality meets breathtaking lake views.

Positive: We only stayed here one night but felt like royalty. Leslie and his staff were so attentive and lovely. We arrived a little late and they stayed up to welcome us in. We had the most memorable breakfast here, we went to a little hut on the grounds and their was an open fire where everything was being cooked. We had the most incredible views and will definitely come back in the future.

Positive: Tea Hills estate far exceeded our expectations ! So many fantastic things to list. Brilliant facilities(best shower), food, views and wonderful food. The most redeeming feature however was the staff. Lesley,Sam, Luxman, Chandran & the staff were so attentive and kind. They all went above & beyond for our group of 11! Thank-you🙏

Positive: Our stay at Tea Hills was quite exceptional due to two things - the service provided by the staff and the views from the hotel. Lesley, the hotel manager was outstanding in his care and the service he provided us. The rest of his team were just as good. Thank you to the chef for an excellent rice and curry - Sri Lanka style as we requested. We could have spent the whole day just looking out at the views over the lake and tea hills of the surrounding countryside. It was breathtaking! Thank you again, we will return one day.

Positive: Everything! Views are spectacular as it’s perched on the side of a tea plantation and lake. Our room had 2 giant windows looking at the view. The pool was lovely Breakfast outside in a little cottage or tree house was superb Staff were fantastic- there when you needed them and super I don’t usually write such hushing reviews but this was one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in.

Positive: Amazing remote location surrounded by tea plantations and a lake, what a wonderful view to wake up to! Room was very luxurious and furnished to a high standard. We particularly enjoyed the infinity pool. Staff were outstanding and did everything to make our stay comfortable. They even provided us with transport for our Adam’s Peak sunrise summit. You have to stay here!
