Positive: Right from Devika greeting us at the resort, Prabhakar providing us a room upgrade, Soumajit delivering us Makhanas on the beach and Awadhesh leading from the front to provide us utmost care and attention, this trip has been special and is always going to remain close to our hearts. Thank you to all of you. Thanks to Makhil ji for guarding us from the sea and always helping us out. Thanks to Abhijit and Akhil for playing cricket and table tennis with me upon my request. We are thankful to the staff at the restaurant who were always warm and caring (Deepankar, Ankita, I am missing a few names here but their care for our new born will always be distinctly remembered). Thanks to the tall gentleman preparing the most wonderful tea during the 4.30 pm snacks and most importantly doing it with utmost grace and a warm smile. Thank you to Harit and the other chef gentleman we met and the flavourful food they and their team have provided us. And finally special thanks to Pradip ji who took care of all our luggage during checkout. We have had a wonderful trip thanks to the courteous, thoughtful and dedicated staff at Taj Bekal. Keep up the good work!

Positive: The staff are extremely friendly and the manager was very accomodative. Food was excellent and buffet had a good spread

Negative: On the day we checked in our bed was filled with tiny hairs, I assume that either the sheets were not changed after the previous guests or somebody had misused the bed. The stairs leading to our room very dirty.Having to experience something like this at a Taj Property was very disappointing.The lady who checked us in on the 31st did not tell us that the 1st of every month is a dry day in Kerala because of which our daughter's birthday celebrations did not go as per our plans

Positive: I decided to spend my birthday at the Taj Bekal Resort & Spa. From the moment I checked in, all the staff were very courteous & hospitable ranging from the check-in staff (Imthiyaz, Sreelakshmi were amazing), the restaurant staff (headed by Dipankar, staff like Amir Khan, Aswin and others), Bipin (from Wellness Care) who gave a wonderful 60-min Indian aromatherapy massage and the housekeeping staff. I was greeted on the midnight of my birthday with a complimentary chocolate cake and a beautiful decor in my room on the morning (courtesy of the check-in staff & the housekeeping staff). The hotel has plenty of activities to do that you don't need to go outside the hotel to explore the place. The room was spacious & well equipped with a swinging bed at the balcony and a huge bathroom (having a bath-tub & a shower). The bed was very comfortable and the Wi-Fi was quite good. The hotel is spread over acres of land and has a river by the hotel where you can do kayaking for an extra charge along with archery, paintball & indoor cricket. The hotel has got an amazing restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch & dinner along with a great bar which serves nice drinks with complimentary snacks. The breakfast & dinner were complimentary during my stay and they were really good with a lot of options. I had asked for a Kerala sadhya for lunch (which you can reserve one day prior)

Negative: Few issues I had with the room was that 1. The bathtub was quite dirty after I checked in, but it was dealt with by the housekeeping staff immediately. 2. The stopper on the bathtub wasn't properly functional as you needed to put in an effort to unblock the tub. 3. One of the sockets wasn't working, so charging my laptop while using it simultaneously was pretty challenging. 4. The hotel does face numerous power cuts which can be annoying at times especially in the night. On my first night, my sleep was disturbed as the TV switches on automatically after a power cut, hence got awaken by the TV noise. Hence I had to switch off the main power (since I planned to not use the TV during my stay). 5. I was overall happy with the Kerala sadhya except for some of the curries (like avial, pulishery etc) which weren't really upto the mark
