Positive: My stay was absolutely spectacular. This place is a beautiful retreat, completely isolated from civilization and perfect for anyone looking for peace and quiet. David and his wife have done an incredible job creating such a welcoming, cozy and charming space. The jacuzzi truly makes a difference, but above all, the tranquility of the place is what stands out the most. The attention and care were outstanding, especially thanks to Rinu, who makes sure you never lack anything and is always attentive to every detail and any need you might have. Due to the remote location, getting certain things can be a bit challenging without a car, but Rin-Nu takes care of everything and ensures the experience is exactly what it should be. Meals need to be booked in advance, as they have a cook who comes to the property and prepares generous, homemade dishes that are truly authentic to Kerala and absolutely delicious. Without a doubt, this is a place I would highly recommend, and I am sure that if I return to Kerala, I will stay here again.

Negative: It’s worth noting that the property is very disconnected from nearby towns. On one hand, this is exactly what makes it special and allows you to fully disconnect, but on the other hand, it also means that going out for a drink or exploring on your own is not easy. Ride-hailing services like Uber do not operate in this area, so leaving the property can be quite complicated.

Positive: We were lucky enough to spend a couple of days at this beautiful place and have felt absolutely comfortable and at home from the first minute. This was - above all - thanks to David's incredible hospitality and kindness. Yet the whole place and nature surroundings are stunning, the service from Rinu was perfect and the rooms are cozy. You can feel that a lot of thought and heart has gone into creating a peaceful and relaxing experience for guests. We can recommend this place 100 percent if you want to unwind from the hustle and bustle of traveling.

Positive: A beautiful quiet place to rest. The room had alot of privacy and also the outside area with private pool was amazing, surrounded by plants, the local colibri and fruitbats above. Rinu was an excellent host: providing and arranging really nice breakfast, tuktuk when needed, and extra information about the surroundings and places to see. I had a comfortable and easy stay thanks to him.

Positive: Overall impression of the property and the Host - David was really good. He ensured that the welcome was done well for the guests and was clear about all the facilities available. Property was neat and clean and at an apt location, right next to backwater. Highlight of the property was contemporary rooms and location.

Negative: few things could have been clarified/ informed in advance to guests - No kitchen/ room service facility at the property / limited breakfast menu. Bath tubs/ pools were not upto mark specially jacuzzi wasn't warm at all, even after switching it on for couple of hours. Staff could not understand english/ any other language.

Summary: overall nice and peaceful stay near backwater. better food/b'fast would have made it comfortable.

Positive: The accommodation is located along the backwaters, a bit outside of Alleppey. David has created a little paradise there. The place invites you to relax. Shannu, the staff member, takes care of all your needs. A motorboat tour at sunrise can be booked directly at the accommodation and is truly worth it. The food is fantastic!
