Casa Contenta is a sprawling and luxurious Spanish Estate nestled on 6 acres in the Avila Valley overlooking vineyards. From the home, everything is just a walk or bike ride away: beach, golf, wine tasting, dining and concerts! A quick drive to downtown SLO, Avila Valley has the most desirable weather in the county, offering a warm and sunny micro climate. The beautiful Bob Jones Bike Trail, Sycamore Hot Springs and the Avila Barn is less than a mile from the home as well as restaurants, a tennis resort and golf course.
This gorgeous residence features a heated pool and built in outdoor spa, 5 outdoor gas firepits and a stunning Moroccan lounge -- a favorite retreat for guests, as well as fun and games for younger children. There are walking trails as well within the secured, fenced 6 acres of the property and a campy spot by the pond for fire pit marshmallow roasts.
The main residence includes 3 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and flat screen TV, 3 fireplaces, large formal dining, gourmet kitchen, wine cellar, great room and kid’s retreat. Directly adjacent is the charming Casitas, or guest house, with two additional bedrooms, a large bathroom, living room, fireplace and a stunning eat-in kitchen. Additionally, “the Loft” is a spacious retreat including a king bed and bathroom, fireplace, flat screen TV and large lounging area.
In total, the home sleeps 12, offering 6 bedrooms, with 2 king beds, 3 queens and 1 set of full size bunk beds in a total of 6,450 square feet. A seventh bedroom can be made up in the "Circle Room" for an additional fee of $150.00. 14 guests would be the absolute maximum allowed for overnight guests, and an additional $100 per person per night would be charged for the 13th and 14th guest.
The residence has been renovated throughout offering contemporary luxury in a gorgeous Spanish hacienda. The property has endless places to gather in large groups, or escape for some privacy. The perfect location for a first-class Central Coast get-away.

Summary: We rented Casa Contenta for my daghter's wedding weekend. We had several friends and family stay with us, and the accommodations could not have been more perfect. The owners and property managers were delightful and very helpful. It is by far the most expensive rental i have ever done and i have zero regrets. Thanks to Robin & Rodney, Nancy, and Jim & linda for everything. It helped make the story book wedding for my daughter even more than she dreamed it would be.

Summary: My husband and I can't express how grateful we are for the opportunity to have stayed at Casa Contenta. In addition, we hosted our rehearsal dinner and small destination wedding on-site. The house was large enough to provide lodging for our immediate families, who also loved the property. The owners and property managers were very gracious and great to work with. They take excellent care of Casa Contenta- the photos do not do this house justice! My wedding was perfect and much of that is due to the location and having the perfect backdrop for photos. I would definitely return to this property for another vacation if I could!

Summary: Beautiful, family friendly......we were here with our kids and grandkids and never left the property....so much to do .....only wish we could come back next year; but apparently this was the last year they are renting.......

Summary: This property is huge. I got tired walking back and forth from the bedroom to the main room. But it was nice for my elderly parents that there were no stairs. There's so much to do. The owners thought of everything. The house is an architectural gem. There's so much detail and the interior decorations add to the charm. We had a lovely time and the property managers were very helpful as well by introducing us to the house. We would stay there again in the future.

Summary: I rented this amazing house and spoke to Nancy a year and half before my daughter was set to graduate. I wanted to have all our family in one house so we could enjoy being together and celebrating the last of 4 to graduate. The pictures of the house do not do it justice. I felt like I was back in Italy with the rolling hills. The backyard was perfect for entertaining and while I brought stuff for the kitchen, I did not need to pull anything out because this is the best equipped kitchen I have ever been in. To be able to sit around the fire pit with all my adult kids and celebrate their accomplishments was truly magical. I can not tell you enough about this amazing house. Jesus greeted us on our first day a gave us a tour, so we could find our way around. The welcome basket and wine was such a thoughtful gift. This is a great house and we will be back! Thank you again!

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at the Casa Contenta for our annual girl's wine weekend. A perfect home for 12 of us with plenty of space to sleep, eat and gather for social time. We decided to stay at the house the entire 3 days to enjoy the amenities of this beautiful home. Instead of wine tasting, we held our own wine tasting in the beautiful dining room with a roaring fireplace! It rained almost the entire weekend, so we played music, sat in the hot tub, competed in ping pong tournaments, sat by the fire pits and cooked in the beautiful kitchen. Nancy was very accommodating when one of the bedrooms had a leak in the skylight, and Linda was helpful when we lost power on the final night. We couldn't ask for better hospitality. We all agreed to return to this beautiful home for future vacations. Definitely the cleanest, classiest and most beautiful home we have ever rented for our wine weekend!
