Summary: Love this hotel…great location and always very nice. There was something going on with the air conditioning but we were only there one night so didn’t get it resolved. They came and “fixed” it but it really didn’t work. All in all a very nice hotel.

Summary: Hotel was in great location. Had an oceanfront view. Bathtub and bath sink were old and dingy. Pull out bed needs better mattress. Breakfast has lots of options but food you could tell was frozen. Kids did love the waffle maker.

Summary: This was our second time staying here and loved it each time. It’s located directly across the street of the beach and restaurants and shops are just a short walk away. Clean. Hot breakfast is included. It’s the perfect place for a family get away.

Summary: It's all in the little details! Aside from the modern clean rooms and property, the fresh baked cookies and water in the lobby were a very nice touch. We were surprised to hear that there was a wonderful complimentary breakfast every morning!! That set the tone of each day, just right! Our views from our balcony was so amazing every day. We watched as the staff cleaned up the pool and the cushions from the outdoor furniture every day. Everyone smiled when we passed them. Housekeeping was so kind and courteous as well as front desk staff. The hotel is dog-friendly and the comp treats was a bonus. Everything was almost perfect. The only complaint we have is the AC/fan in the room was very hard to regulate. It would turn off every time we opened our balcony door and that was often. We had to leave the windows open so the room wouldn't get so stuffy but then the noise in the mornings was pretty loud since our room was next to the main walkway to the pool and dining hall. Even at night, we couldn't set AC/fan to kick on properly and we would wake up with 75-76 degree temps. But overall, we love Avila and we love this property!

Summary: Great stay at Avila Lighthouse Suites. It was a first time staying in the area. Beautiful views and beach without being overly crowded, and close to Pismo and downtown San Luis Obispo. Free Breakfast was a pleasant surprise and was really great, freshly cut fruit, hot items, and the other basic continental fare. Overall we would stay here again!
