Positive: There was an abundance of space, it was not cluttered and was beautifully appointed. With a beautiful private balcony overlooking the sea and we spent many romantic hours looking at the boats and yachts drift off into the sunset.

Negative: Split double bed, which is common in Europe . Get used to it. 😀

Negative: The bed needs a double mattress, not 2 singles with a tin top layer. Kitchen doors need handles. Parking difficult for large vehicles.

Positive: Tucked away in the hillside overlooking the bay and Frioul islands. Beautiful wraparound terrace (all day/evening long sunshine) to admire the view and tranquility of the surroundings. Lovely landscaped garden and BEAUTIFUL pool (to come back to after a busy day of sightseeing and collapsing on a sun lounger!). Hosts welcoming, personable, helpful and yet discreet. Cool, clean, light, spacious apartment with blackout shutters in each room. Location was excellent - far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Marseille centre yet just a scenic (No. 83) bus ride away from Vieux Port and all main sites, with other bus routes and connections within walking distance (Prado, les Goudes etc). Lovely, lively, local beach 10 mins walk away with restaurants and bars within walking distance from apartment. Fabulous bakery and greengrocer (have never tasted such sweet nectarines!) on street below property. Despite yummy daily pastries, came back fitter after daily pool visits and up and down 101 steps to street level!

Positive: Appt clean and spacious It also overlooks the beach - with a view of the sunset Short walk to the coast side Hosts Joelle and Gerard are very welcoming and prompt in responding to requests Has parking space Has a lovely pool as well

Negative: Narrow narrow streets for driving - they do warn us to have a small car Further away from the city Aircon only in the living room - bedroom not well ventilated by the aircon; not the best for summer which was when we visited but hosts do try to make up for this by providing a fan (this helped a bit) No facial tissues/kitchen towels/dish washing liquid provided
