Summary: Nice quiet location, lovely hosts who responded to any queries and left us some bread and wine. It is as described and the hills are steep but we were aware of that and if you use the bus it’s better. Beach, baker, butcher and grocers all close by.

Summary: We spent a wonderful week in La Maison des Poissons in Roucas Blanc. The house is situated in the middle of a magic part of Marseille with amazing things to discover around every corner. We appreciated the calm neighbourhood and the short distance to the Corniche and the beach. Our hosts were always friendly and helpful and we are looking forward to coming back to La Maison des Poissons.

Summary: Hubert and Elsie’s place is the nicest place I have stayed through HomeAway. They could not have been more kind, hospitable and just lovely to get to meet. The place is elegant, comfortable and just as handsome as the pictures show. Lots of privacy and peace. The location is just fantastic, near the sea in a hilly neighborhood full of windy paths, great walks and convenient to the historic center even without a car. The apartment has been outfitted with countless thoughtful touches. I couldn’t recommend ‘maison de poissons’ more highly,

Summary: In every aspect a perfect place and little house for our short trip to Marseille! Wonderful inside -out, in a very calm and green environment. The area is surely one of the most beautiful in the city. Just a few stairs from a cosy beach. The owners are lovely and help you with everything. Highly recommended. Merci beaucoup Elsie & Hubert.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the „Fish House“. The hosts were super friendly and helpful, e. g. when finding the perfect parking place. The house itself was very cosy, yet stylish and had all necessary amenities. We only would suggest to keep a closer eye to cleanliness and maintenance. As a house-dust allergic, I had to struggle sometimes. Still, we can recommend this place to everyone looking for a central but calm accommodation in Marseille!

Summary: This lovely house has everything what you need for a perfect week in Marseille! It´s full eqiped, cosy and very calm with a nice little terrace. It is an oasis in the middle of this agile city. Located in a very calm area, the city can be reached by bus in less then 20 minutes or by bike in less than 25 minutes and a beach was only some steps away. Even if the owners live side by side, we had the whole week our privacy but also a helping hand if we needed it. Elsie and Hubert are very friendly and pleasant hosts and we would recommend this place to everybody and would like to come back!

Summary: I thought La Maison Des Poissons was the perfect place to stay in Marseilles. It is in a quiet, historical section of town with easy bus rides along the corniche and into downtown. My hosts were tres gentile and made sure I had everything I needed. There was much more space than you would expect in a hotel room and the flexibility to cook for yourself. The internet was fast, everything clean, and no noise at night :) . Guests should be prepared to go up and down stairs with luggage and take care on the loft staircase, but these are not problems. I would recommend this location and the hosts without hesitation. Kim Grass Valley, California
