Positive: Beautiful location with great views. Lovely very clean cottage, warm and cosy with a lovely kitchen to sit in around the table planning activities. Easy to use fireplace and helpful provision of logs for first night. My elderly parents really enjoyed their Yorkshire Dales cottage experience. Caroline was also very helpful as I was struggling to connect to internet when we arrived to open the arrival instructions in my email (advise to download these prior to arrival), she responded to my messages after logging into Booking.com app on my husband’s phone. She also very kindly found an item we had left behind and mailed it to us which we are grateful for. Thank you Caroline.

Negative: Very soft mattresses (would not recommend if you prefer a firm bed). We are small and slim people and completely sank into the mattress. I relayed this to the owners who said they would check on them. Also my 77 year old mother found the stairs tricky as there was no banister but thick vertical chains, which while very cool looking didn’t feel the most stable to hold on to.

Positive: This is a beautiful home, decorated with style and thought to provide a comfortable, home from home stay in the most beautiful and peaceful location. We loved sitting in the pretty garden full of well tended flowers, cooking in such a well equipped kitchen and enjoying the fantastic views from every window. It was spotlessly clean and communication and information from the host was faultless. We visited The Brownie Barn and The Craven Arms locally for amazing lunches and walked some of the many well marked footpaths.
