Summary: Fantastic gathering place for couples. Home was clean and well laid out. The hot tub was one of our favorite hangouts. Bedrooms were private with your own bath. Beds were comfortable. Check in and out was easy. We have stayed in many Galena homes over the years, this one was by far the best.

Summary: We used the Eagle Nest home this Thanksgiving to celebrate the holiday as well as our parents' 50th wedding anniversay. The place was amazing! I walked in and it was just like the pictures. So much space, so clean and a great space for the 13 of us to enjoy several days as a family. I recall the first night.....the sheets even smelled so clean and fresh. I have sent the VRBO link to several people who asked for if, after seeing our pictures. Bill and Sue, you have a beautiful home and were excellent to work with! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful space with our family! I'm so glad we found the Eagle Nest and will definitely be recommending it to family and friends!

Summary: I rented this property for my extended family to stay together the weekend of my son’s wedding. It was a perfect space for us to gather together for breakfast, and come back to after exploring, beautiful Galena. There were so many amenities, we didn’t even get to try them all. Hot tub, barbecue, several scenic deck spaces, a huge basement with game room, barstools, fireplace, and more. Also volleyball court, beautiful trails that span throughout the property’s acres of nature. This place was absolutely perfect for our family gathering! Every bedroom has its own full bath. It felt like a hotel within a house. Unbelievable! Plenty of kitchenware to serve up to 28 guests. Plenty of extra pillows and linens. Only minutes from downtown Galena and the venue where we held my son’s wedding. I would highly recommend! Make sure to communicate with the hosts what your plans are, if you plan to have a party. We let them know that we were hosting a rehearsal dinner onsite. And they charged us an extra “party” fee. But I was happy to pay I t, because it was the perfect setting to hold our laid back, comfortable rehearsal dinner before the big wedding day. My brother-in-law had been to this property 10 years ago for a corporate event. I imagine this would be perfect for the corporate event setting as well. Definitely a must see! I highly, highly recommend this property if you are looking for a perfect family reunion VRBO home.

Summary: Beautiful place for our Thanksgiving with our family! The pictures don’t do it justice! Themed bedrooms, gorgeous bathrooms, the best equipped kitchen I have ever been in and a very private, beautiful wooded setting complete with walking trails, hot tub and outdoor fire pit! Nothing was spared for comfort right down to the linens and comfortable beds and every type of serving piece you could imagine for our feast! Immaculate, cozy, well appointed and everything we needed for a family getaway! Fantastic place!!!
