Pacific View Escape is in a rural area called Table Bluff overlooking the ocean, Humboldt Bay, just minutes from the Wildlife Refuge, and within a short two-and-a-half-mile drive to the beach. It's a bit off the beaten path so you may want to stock up. It is, however, centrally located on the Redwood Coast. It's about a 14-mile drive from Eureka, 11 miles from the Historic Village of Ferndale, less than 10 miles from Fortuna, and about 25.8 miles from the Avenue of the Giants and Humboldt Redwoods State Park.

Summary: The rental was great and clean for the most part. However, we did find mouse droppings on the counter and in the utensil and silverware drawers. They should probably be deep cleaned. Also, the batteries for the Dish remote needed to be replaced. Other than that, the rental was lovely, and we felt right at home. Thank you!

Summary: It soothed my soul to be in an environment where the only sounds I heard were of wildlife and a distant lighthouse fog horn. Visually you are totally surrounded by nature. Suzanne from Vacasa was outstanding supporting us in figuring out a small snafu with the tv. Previous guests had reconnected cords in the wrong connections leaving the instructions not matching up with what we were seeing on the screen. The beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water and no ant issues other guests had mentioned. For anyone who intends to cook meals I would suggest to go to Safeway in Fortuna ahead of time and stock up on your needs: coffee/tea, flour, sugar, foil, plastic wrap etc... There are some seasonings others have left. The community is very friendly.
