Positive: Secure apartment with two bedrooms, close to the beach, and restaurants.

Negative: Cleanliness could have been better (there were ants on my laptop every morning and my co-worker saw a number of cockroaches). The booking claimed two ensuites, there was one ensuite and one sharable bathroom. Still two bathrooms, but one was not connected to the bedroom.

Positive: Well equipped with quality items. Pleasant balcony to sit out with BBQ. Comfortable soft furnishings and recliner chair.

Negative: Garage and roof terrace weren't accessible. Notified owner about garage door not opening, advised unable to fix myself, nothing done about it. Parked on street as no option on site. Rude note left on my car when I did. Unit would benefit from a thorough clean.

Positive: The unit block was just across the road from the beach and very close to strip shops. It was quiet with very little noise heard from the neighbours especially when the windows and doors were closed. The morning sun on the little outdoor patio was lovely to sit in on the cool winter mornings. The lock up garage was small enough for one small car, with a small turning circle.

Negative: The unit has not been renovated since it was built in the 70s, apart from a lick of paint and new curtains. The kitchen cooking equipment was an odd collection of bits and pieces. There was no microwave containers. No condiments, just grubby salt and pepper satchels, probably acq from the local fish and chip shop. The beds and the lounges were comfortable if you like soft beds and soft couches. There was a rusty outdoor setting on the little patio. Overall the unit looked cheap and tired but was suitable for our needs for a three nights stay.

Summary: Old, unrenovated unit, but adequate for our short stay needs.
