Summary: We came from CA, MO, and NE to visit a tavern that has the same name as my late husband, Peter Trout. We wanted to experience the harbor areas, and the Atlantic was right at the end of the driveway. Bass Harbor, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Cadillac Mountain sunrise, and Southwest Harbor were all close and shopped thru. Quaint cafe's and unique eateries filled us with fabulous seafood.

Summary: We so enjoyed our stay. We loved the quiet location of the house and the wonderful lawn in evening time looking out to the harbor. The house was great. We actually only had 7 people and there was plenty of room. The house had everything we needed. The very special aspect was that Bobbie provided recommendations of what to do and see. It was so helpful and we followed up on the recommendations daily. Thanks for the lovely stay.

Summary: This year’s family trip was to Acadia. We found a lovely house that accommodated 5 of us in the tiny town of Bass Harbor. Local fish restaurant is directly across the street. Other amenities, grocery store, are located in Southwest Harbor just 10 minutes away and Acadia is about a 30 minute drive to Visitor Center. House is very comfortable, clean, quiet, and kitchen is well stocked. We had a great time.

Summary: Had a great stay in Bass Harbor. The house is in a great location and has plenty of space. My young kids loved it especially the attic! Recommend it if you want to stay somewhere with a true small town feel. The owner was super helpful and very responsive to messages. High marks!

Summary: Our first trip to Maine to visit Bar Harbor and Arcadia. We found this place in Bass Harbor to be the perfect value for the size house we needed. There was a bed for every person! The drive to Arcadia and Bar Harbor wasn’t too bad and the Bass Harbor lighthouse is just up the road from this house! The sunset views from the harbor were fantastic. The house is charming and quaint and everything you would want from a New England cottage! Bobbie was super accommodating and friendly and excellent to work with. Wonderful memories were made here! Highly recommend!
