Located in South Bowers Beach Island directly on the beach and located at the widest point of the Delaware Bay, approx 28 miles across to NJ, this Island home offers something very special that the large resorts don't have, peace and quiet.
Step right onto the sand from this beautiful beach home. If fishing is your thing, cast your line into the water and fresh fish are yours for breakfast or dinner, fishing license required.
You can put your small boat or kayak in the water right off the beach and explore local tributaries where you will find not only the serenity of a wilderness-like landscape but also many species of fish and crabs. Children can ride bikes on the quiet Island road, roller blade or play on the beach, collecting shells and sea glass and be amazed at the site of prehistoric horseshoe crabs that migrate to this area from South America.

The road is subject to tidal flooding. There is an app available for mobile phones called Tides Near Me (its free). Once you open it, pick Delaware, Milford, Mispillion River Entrance. It will give you the best tide information.

Summary: We always enjoy our stays in South Bowers. This was our first time at the Iguana House and it did not disappoint. The house was clean, modern, and well appointed. The house was also more spacious than expected. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals (but bring your own pantry staples). Beds were comfortable. Nearby towns have everything you need, but are 20-30 minutes drive. So plan ahead if you don’t want to spend your time running errands. Overall a great experience and I would recommend the Iguana House!

Summary: I cannot say enough great things about our stay and the hosts! The house was clean and provided a lot of things you’d need for your stay. Patrick and Margo were quick to respond. The beach proximity was our favorite as we had little ones so packing up and taking things to the beach was so easy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Summary: Everything was perfect. The house was clean well equiped with dishes and cookware. Shopping for groceries was with in a short distance of the house. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We rescued a couple of Horseshoe crabs by turining them right side up so they could get back in the water. The week went way to fast and it was sad to have to leave. We wouldn't hesitate to spend another vacation at your rental. Thanks for a wonderful vacation My 3 girls and Me we
