Summary:
Skipper Tom's is a 2-bedroom Saltbox style home located in the heart of Twillingate, steps from restaurants, amenities and attractions. From the home's wrap around deck, you'll soak up incredible ocean views. Each bedroom has a queen bed, HDTV, a private en suite and views of the ocean. With a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room, laundry facility large deck and yard, you'll have plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The Space:
Completely renovated in 2013, the main floor includes an open-concept kitchen/dining area, a large living room, a full bathroom and laundry facility. Upstairs, you'll find two large bedroom suites both with queen beds and en-suite bathrooms, each with its own shower and soaker tub. Each bedroom is equipped with its own TV (with cable) and has beautiful views of the water.
The home sits on a large piece of land overlooking Robin's Cove. The views can be enjoyed from all rooms in the home, as well as from the large wrap around deck.
The property was built by the owner's Grandfather Tom in 1914. He was a Skipper on schooners fishing off the Labrador coast. Hence the name "Skipper Tom's".
On the property, you'll find a working root cellar and a shed that was built in the mid 1800s.

Summary: We loved this home. Great location and was greeted by a little iceberg in the bay in front of our home. The homemade muffins were a nice touch. Highly recommend as well recommend ocean quest tours. Suggest you take a morning tour.

Summary: Skipper Tom's was a breath of fresh air! I loved sitting on the veranda and watching the boats go by and the ocean waves crashing against the shore line. the scenery is beautiful ! the house - immaculate, serene and inviting a nice surprise ... fresh baked bread waited for us !!!! also .. there was coffee, tea and other thoughtful items. highly recommend Skipper Tom's

Summary: The ocean views from wrap around porch and in all rooms of the home are the best you can ask for. What a way to enjoy your cup of coffe in the morning and a glass of wine at night. Wow! Summary: We loved this property and our stay. Especially the welcoming added touches like the bread. The rooms were well appointed and bedroom ensuites more than you would expect. The hosts were in touch and available when needed addressing our questions in a timely manner. The house was amazingly cool because of a large number of windows for airflow. It was a wonderful splurge for our 25 wedding anniversary trip.
