Summary:
Skipper Tom's is a 2-bedroom Saltbox style home located in the heart of Twillingate, steps from restaurants, amenities and attractions. From the home's wrap around deck, you'll soak up incredible ocean views. Each bedroom has a queen bed, HDTV, a private en suite and views of the ocean. With a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room, laundry facility large deck and yard, you'll have plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The Space:
Completely renovated in 2013, the main floor includes an open-concept kitchen/dining area, a large living room, a full bathroom and laundry facility. Upstairs, you'll find two large bedroom suites both with queen beds and en-suite bathrooms, each with its own shower and soaker tub. Each bedroom is equipped with its own TV (with cable) and has beautiful views of the water.
The home sits on a large piece of land overlooking Robin's Cove. The views can be enjoyed from all rooms in the home, as well as from the large wrap around deck.
The property was built by the owner's Grandfather Tom in 1914. He was a Skipper on schooners fishing off the Labrador coast. Hence the name "Skipper Tom's".
On the property, you'll find a working root cellar and a shed that was built in the mid 1800s.

Summary: Really nice house- very cozy and well appointed. Bathrooms and bedrooms were great. Kitchen was well stocked and very functional. We loved the location. No complaints- only good things to say. Charming town with friendly people. We went to the dinner theater on our last night - really fun and entertaining. The owners were very good with communication and telling us to contact that for anything. Such a warm homey feeling to the house. Thank you

Summary: Skipper Tom’s was an amazing place to stay in Twillingate. The accommodations were as stated and very comfortable. It was within walking distance to the town. It was perfect for two couples as we each had our own space. I would definitely recommend staying here. PS The muffins were delicious and a nice treat.

Summary: Our stay at Skipper times vacation home was absolutely amazing! From the easy check-in to the clean and well stock kitchen, from the awesome views to the thoughtful special touches, such as lots of books to read, a TV and each bedroom, the soaker tub! I can't say enough about it! They even had a landline which could be a selling feature for this home! Cell phone service is very limited. However, having the landline made communication much better! This place comes highly recommended!

Summary: We had a lovely stay at Skipper Tom’s. The house was very clean and comfortable. The freshly baked muffins that were there when we arrived were a nice treat! We also appreciated having coffee provided for the week as well. No complaints whatsoever. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone vacationing in Twillingate.

Summary: The accommodation of Skipper Tom’s is as described, and delightful - and right up until our check out morning - our stay was entirely pleasant (be aware of doors however, when a visiting cat drops by, apparently it likes to visit!).Skipper Tom’s location is recommended as a base to explore Twillingate. The house is well-appointed with all you would need (with the exception of kitchen scissors!), the rooms are spacious and comfortable and pretty. The 2 ensuites are a true plus. On check out day - the 10am check out time was a bit of an affront to start with, but respecting that was the limit, we planned the morning to be sure we were out on time. And to that end, did all our packing and fridge cleaning and garbage collection so that at 9:30, we could have our morning coffee on the porch taking in the lovely view of the ocean before we parted. Instead, when we walked out to deposit the garage at 9:30 - we found the cleaner sitting in the parking spot waiting for us to leave.Some might have ignored that, but we good not now, sit and relax with our while being in the sight line of someone in a car. It was a very disappointing end to an otherwise lovely stay.
