Positive: This is a great value for money accommodation in Sigiriya. Although you will need to hire a tuktuk to get to most places it’s never going to be a long drive to get to them. The staff is welcoming and happy to help out. They can even arrange transfers to and from the place you’re coming from or the place you’re going to The room we stayed in was nice spacious and clean. The bed was also very comfy. Every day we were served a hearty and delicious local breakfast.

Negative: The host has a preference that you book safaris or other tours through him and if you have a different preference, it may make the visit less socially comfortable.

Positive: Wonderful accommodation in great location. Staff made this place extra special. Pick up from airport organised by hotel. Stopped on route to the hotel to buy us coconuts and fruit - lovely touch ! Room was ready for our arrival. Spacious and clean with comfy bed. Pool was lovely and very clean. Breakfast was lovely and lots of it! The owner made us feel very welcome and safe as 2 female travellers. He dropped us in to the town and picked us up late in the evening (no charge).

Negative: Better lights in toilets would be good and also space to hang clothes.

Summary: Amazing stay, lovely staff and perfect location.

Positive: Good beds, very (!) clean, quiet, cute hotel and very friendly and helpful owner who offered to drive us to restaurants and Sigiriya rock. I read that others didn’t pay him for the service (because he declined) but we insisted and I think he appreciated it. Great breakfast, Sri Lankan style, with small day to day variations. Not many restaurant options close by, but since the owner is so friendly and offers to drive you, it’s not an issue.

Positive: Staff were great. They laid on a huge dinner and breakfast for me and helped organize a couple of trips for me. Room was nice and big with a good hot shower. There was a pool but unfortunately we had rain in the evenings when I was there so I didn't get to have a dip. I imagine it would be great to cool down in.
