This detached barn conversion, situated in the heart of North Devon, sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms; a super king double bed and pyramid bunk. All the rooms are on one level, with 1 small step into the kitchen. The barn features a large lounge, dining room and kitchen, bathroom with large walk-in shower and double sinks, airconditioning in the bedrooms, and underfloor heating throughout supplied from the environmentally friendly wood pellet biomass heating.
This south facing barn looks out over the ornamental garden from its two private patios (one looking over the walled garden, and one looking over the ornamental courtyard garden), and is adjacent to the large 1,500m² walled garden.
High Park Barns has a secure, purpose-built 1 acre dog exercise field located on site. Designed with safety, freedom, and fun in mind, our fully enclosed field, with 1.8m high fencing, offers dogs the perfect space to run, play, and train off-lead in a safe and private environment. The dog field is open daily in the morning and evening for staying guests at no cost. Additional time can be booked during the day.
The barns at High Park were built in the early 1900's, shortly after the main house was built in the mid 1840’s.
It offers easy access to beaches, moors, coastal path walks, cycle paths, golf courses, horticultural gardens, children friendly fun parks, and many other traditional outdoor and indoor recreational activities for those seeking a truly relaxing, yet active, break away from the stresses of day-to-day life.
The barn is situated with 14 acres of private land. Within the grounds is a shared indoor swimming pool and hot-tub, and large natural lake featuring stunning vegetation and decked terrace.

Summary: Nice location , and swimming pool on site but that’s about it . For the price we paid we did expect a lot more. Anyway I am not saying it’s terrible it’s just not worth it . The owners were nice tho.

Summary: Our 3rd visit to High Barns, buy our 1st in Sheldon. Suits 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 kids. Love it here, so quiet & relaxing, with feature hosts supplying all you need & a welcome cream tea too. Will definitely be back as love the indoor pool & hot tub too.

Summary: Beautiful property in a gorgeous location. Anne-Louise is a great host, the barn was stocked with everything we could possibly have needed and the beds were so comfortable. There was lots of space for us to relax in. The pool was fabulous, it was lovely to have it to ourselves for a bit each day. We loved exploring the lake and the trampoline was a bonus! It felt very peaceful, despite every other property being occupied, and in a brilliant location for beaches / shops / activities.

Summary: Really lovely well appointed accommodation. Great pool and really well organised with useful instructions every where . Especially enjoyed the local milk in the fridge ! Location is great for kids - shops are 5 minutes away - I think the. It’s time we spent in the car was 10 minutes to Appledor -Westwood Ho! Is on the door step as is the big sheep
