Positive: Very well appointment rustic and romantic cabin with a wonderful private outlook and a lovely short walk to the adjacent river. The attention to detail was a standout and the breakfast beautiful and plentiful and locally sourced. The location is central and great for Atherton tableland exploration.

Negative: There was nothing to dislike. If I could recommend to add another shower screen to the shower to avoid excess water on the bathroom floor.

Positive: The breakfast supplies were fantastic—such a great variety, and honestly, far more than we could eat! The location was absolutely superb, tucked away in the rainforest with the soothing sound of the Johnstone River rushing just below our deck. It was quite chilly during our stay, so we made good use of the pot-bellied stove each night, with fresh firewood thoughtfully restocked daily. We especially loved the large spa bath with its stunning view of the rainforest, and all the luxurious little touches from our hosts made the stay feel really special. A truly beautiful property!

Positive: We loved our stay at Sharlynn by the River. The cabin had everything you need, and John and Pam (and Charlie the dog) are excellent hosts. The breakfast foods such as yoghurts, milk, coffee and jam were all locally produced (and delicious). It was an easy drive to lake Eacham and Barrine, and Yungaburra. We also had some tasty pizza in Malanda. Thank you for an amazing and relaxing stay!
