Negative: The rooms are not quite I expected. Needs to be updated. The restaurants food was not my favorite. I love food.

Positive: Pool is nice, also the access to the beach

Negative: The check in was fast but the person looked like he didn’t want to be there. He barely gave us any information about the resort and clearly wanted us out of there as fast as possible. You are limited to one small beach towel per person. The first night in the room was horrible. The mattress was old, very hard and we could feel the springs coming through. We did complain in the morning and they changed the mattress to a better one.

Positive: A lovely hotel on the beachfront. Staff on reception were helpful and some were able to speak English Room was clean with a huge bed, good shower and nice balcony. I had a sea view Room 443 The staff at breakfast were lovely especially the omelette chefs who greeted us with a smile & wave every day . Breakfast was plentiful with many choices The steak restaurant was very good as was the pizza restaurant. Staff were friendly and food was very good . Unfortunately the seafood restaurant was not a pleasant experience. A very long wait for food which was not of good quality . Asked for a glass of wine many times and eventually had 2 glasses with the meal but 5 gasses were put on the bill (think it was added each time we requested but not served) Service was slow(despite not being busy) and not welcoming like the other restaurants Pools are great , side tables are in need of a refurb , cocktails are weak but beers are nicely chilled. Poolside food was served quickly and was good I was given a free late checkout at 6pm which really appreciated. We also managed to change a dinner for lunch as we were half board & wanted to try other restaurants in the evening. Although they will not do this at weekends We had a lovely stay and would recommend the hotel

Negative: The one issue to improve is to have a kettle to make tea or coffee in the room. Waking up in the morning its always good to have a coffee on the balcony. When I asked I was told I can ring room service but its over 30 mins wait. When I tried I was just spoken to in Portuguese when I said i could not understand they put the phone down. No coffee arrived . Reception said the only other way was to go to the breakfast room. I didn't really want to do this in PJ's haha ! So a tip is to bring a travel kettle. Wish I had known
