Positive: Wonderful place with nice rooms, good pool, great food, beautiful gardens and outside areas. We had reached a point in our vacation where we just needed to unwind and Serendivi was the perfect place for that. But what really sets this place apart is the wonderful staff. Besides taking really good care of us, they also added a personal and friendly touch to the place and it will probably be the place during our 3-week roundtrip, that we will remember the most.

Positive: This is like a little spot in heaven. We loved it. The place is modern, beautifully decorated and clean. The food is great and affordable but the service, that's the star of the show. You'll be greated with a smile every single time you leave your room or come back to the accommodation. We had the pleasure of having Ni Lanka (I hope I'm spelling it right) as a host and we've never felt more special. Unbelievable service and attention to detail in every single request. We wished we didn't have to leave, what a pleasure.

Negative: We loved everything and there's nothing wrong. You just need to be mindful of the location, it's not close to the town (15 minutes tuk tuk ride to the bus station). If you want to enjoy yourself in a peaceful and retired environment, this is for you. Oh, the beach is not swimmable but you've got the pool and a lagoon right next to the hotel.

Positive: This is the perfect spot to get away from it all right in the beach and away from the crowds. Only 6 bedrooms so intimate and personal service. Superb bedroom (room 702) with wrap around balcony with the last of the sun. Everything worked and really clean and well maintained. A couple of small issues were sorted out immediately. Flexible eating times and great but limited menu. Excellent quality food well cooked and beautifully presented. The excellent friendly staff always on hand ready to serve with a smile.

Negative: I’m struggling to find anything to write but silly little things come to mind that can easily be addressed. I didn’t like the pottery shower gel and shampoo containers. A sun bed on the balcony would be great and being picky the mattresses on the sun beds around the pool could do with an upgrade. Minor niggles with the WiFi. But overall 9.8 out of 10.

Summary: Very relaxing stay in an idyllic location with personal service.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and the beach wonderfully quiet, the only other people we saw were the local fisherman each morning. The staff were very sweet and helpful, especially Farees annd Nilanka and The food was delicious. There was only one other room occupied when we were there so it was like having the Villa to ourselves. It would make the perfect place to stay if you are with a group of friends.

Negative: Nothing at all - the only note for others is that the sea has strong currents there. We are strong swimmers used to the sea, but it wouldn’t be suitable for children to swim there or people looking for shallow calm water - but there’s a huge beachfront pool so it’s really not an issue.

Summary: Extremely relaxing and special. A world away from some of the overcrowded places in the south.

Positive: I felt very emotional leaving this hotel. We had a beautiful 4 days here and we didn’t want to leave! Aside from the beautiful room, stunning pool and breathtaking beach, Nalinka and his team treated us like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Helping us with our train ticket delivery, organising our excursion, getting up at 4am to make sure we had a packed breakfast, providing us with endless drinks by the pool and then serving us the most incredible food we had in Sri Lanka. This hotel is very quiet and tranquil and we were made to feel like their only guests. I was very sad to leave and we will all miss the team terribly. Thank you so so much for looking after us as if we were royalty. I hope we can return in the future. We love you Nalinka!

Negative: The WiFi was very very poor. The only thing that needs addressing
