Positive: An amazing hotel is in a wonderful place. We really enjoyed our stay here. The views on the lake are stunning. The room was clean and comfortable with everything you need. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay even better.

Positive: This is THE hotel to visit in Hallstatt. If you see signature photos of Hallstatt, you will no doubt see this hotel right on the water and right next to the iconic church. It is centrally located and has lake-front dining with superb views. We booked one of their Junior Suites and was impressive. We have a large covered patio off the large room and it looked right out onto the lake. Breakfast was included and it was excellent. Thank you for a lovely time in this picturesque town. Side note: about a block to the south from the hotel is where you can rent an electric boat. We did 1/2 hour, which was 30 euro, but well worth it as we had plenty of time to cruise across the lake and up and down the town's shoreline for our own fabulous photos

Negative: This town gets BUSY, but you have it ALL to yourself in the morning and the evening as the day-trippers exit.

Summary: This is THE hotel at which to stay !

Positive: Location to the shops.

Negative: We were put in room 104. It was hot enough that we had to keep the windows open. Starting between 3 and 4 a.m. the trash services began opening the doors to the bins and dragging the carts up the cobblestone street. Then they started with the metal carts. The noise made it impossible to sleep. This went on for almost 2 hours. We were ready to leave, but were moved to 210 for the 2nd night and that room faced the square. The noise there subsided by 11 p.m. and we were able to sleep. The only restitution that could make it better is if I were refunded 1 nights stay. Other than that, I would not recommend the hotel to any of my friends or travelers. The picture attached shows the cabinets where the bins and carts were located. This is just outside the window of 104.

Summary: Disappointed and felt terrible for a day because of a lack of sleep.

Positive: The room inside were nice and clean, they provided the extra bed as requested with reasonable price.

Negative: Location was right in the town but there were cars parking in the front so they ruined the atmosphere around there which we couldn’t take nice photos in front of the hotel at all. And the first bad impression I got was the male receptionist charged me 10€ more than the price I should have paid for extra bed and city taxes which should not have happened because he used the calculator to calculate. I couldn’t think of anything else more than he charged for his service for 10€ without informing us. And once I stepped in, he was not that welcome, he thought I was trying to ask questions which he wanted to reply later but since I informed him for checking in so he said I could sit down and check-in. There was no seats by the lake as in photos because that section was closed so it’s not worth it to stay at this hotel if you can’t relax by the lake at the hotel even it was raining a bit but the weather was nice and not too cold to sit. It’s a pity that it was closed. If guests would like to drink or eat, they can only sit inside which was stuffy and they were so so atmosphere both at the restaurant or the bar inside.

Summary: Not worth it to pay that much. There were better choices hotel around there.

Positive: The hotel staff Abhi assisted me in lending of the UK to Europe converter and advised on my transportation. George was the one who assisted me in getting to 5 fingers & skywalk. Without him, I wouldn't get my luggage up from 3rd level to the 4th as there was no elevator. Luka advised me on skywalk tour. These staff are the best I came across.

Negative: The P1 carpark to the hotel is quite a walking distance though.
